Line of Fire Episode 3 recap: Logan's secret finally comes out

Episode 3 brings Logan Welling's true identity in front of Clare after she learns that he was actually an undercover CIA operative and not the history teacher she thought he was. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, this leaves her wondering why Logan got close to her in the first place and if he was actually interested in her. It was also revealed that Logan was actually Jason Marks, who had gone missing in North Carolina.
She even goes to Agent Wallace to find the answers and tells her about North Carolina and the other things Logan told her. But the problem is that Logan's CIA file is sealed, which becomes an obstacle.
However, their secret doesn't last long, as Jane Hollingsworth overhears their conversation and decides not to talk about Logan's case being connected to everything. On the other hand, Clare even starts to work on the jury case. One juror was killed after someone tried to force her off the case, while four others had already been paid to leave.
Meanwhile, Jack was already working on another undercover job, and this time at the dental office.
Line of Fire Episode 3 recap: Jane puts her relationship on pause

In Line of Fire Episode 3, the jury case quickly became a family affair when Clare brought Russ and Micah into the picture. Russ even showed up with Natasha, his new girlfriend, and she was happy to help, saying that she is from a family of lawyers. Clare also had Jane's assistant bring over some files. This turns the house into a whole workplace with everyone doing their own research.
Of course, Jane's personal life had to get difficult too. Her senator boyfriend arrives expecting a dinner date, only to realize that the house was packed. Things got even worse when he learned that Jane had used his credentials to get some of the files. The two talk later, and he tells her that she could have come to him directly for help instead of sending the assistant. The conversation ends with him telling her indirectly to rethink the relationship as he clarifies that he wants a partner who gives him the benefit of the doubt, like how Jane gives her family.
Jane later tells Clare that it's just a pause and not forever, and she is a bit relieved. Viewers also see the daughter and mother talking to each other about life, with Jane explaining that the death of their brother broke them, but it also kept them together, hoping she could find the same peace with Logan.
Line of Fire Episode 3 recap: Clare learns another shocking truth about Logan
Meanwhile, Clare finds out who was behind the threats. The man was hired by the stenographer's roommate, while the stenographer had no idea she was involved. Clare finds out that a businessman named Eric Ting was hiding properties bought with cartel money and was also an accused co-conspirator in a money laundering scheme.
But he had another case on real estate fraud as well. Clare realizes that he must have been afraid that the DOJ would start an investigation about a link between the two cases. The family puts the pieces together, gets a judge's approval, and starts an official investigation.
Meanwhile, Russ gets off probation, and Clare learns from Wallace that she wasn't the only woman Logan had been with, which she feels heartbroken about. Towards the end of the episode, Jack is seen watching Wallace from afar as she leaves in her car.
