The second episode, titled No Sorrow Like the Survivor, from Lioness Season 3 was released today exclusively on Paramount Plus. Earlier in the premiere we witnessed Joe's team beginning their mission at six o'clock in the morning with Cody and Cruz.
After using flashbangs and grenades inside the room, they killed the remaining enemies and cut a hidden tracker out of Yurimov’s arm to stop their position from getting exposed. Ultimately, her team escaped and survived just before the last bomb exploded outside the room's door.
Today's newly released episode revealed the total collapse of Joe's infiltration plan after the doorstep gunfight in Donetsk. The tense moment began when an elite QRF secretly checked the area and moved through a calm suburban neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
A flashback from the premiere shows Tier-1 operators using night-vision gadgets to scan rooftops and move across backyard fences. Their movement frightened the entire neighborhood and highlighted how close the danger has come to Joe's front door.

Lioness Season 3: The soldiers scare the entire community in Donetsk
Episode 2 kicked off with the abduction of Joe from the street by the two Russian agents whom she killed in the last episode. After the flashback, the scene moved to the aftermath of the shooting, where Joe's core team, dressed as FBI agents, arrived at her house for investigation.
After a while, the story unfolded inside suburban Washington. Showrunner Taylor Sheridan developed a layered plan about placing operators on rooftops with night-vision gear to scan the surroundings.
The sequence felt unsettling when the operators climbed fences and moved across rooftops in a quiet neighborhood while nearby lawns were neatly trimmed and neighbors watched curiously.
Lioness Season 3: Joe’s loved ones are caught up in the ongoing strife
Joe's relationship with Neil felt stronger than ever after everything they had been through together. It almost seemed like they were finally getting another chance at a normal family life. But we all know that normal has never lasted very long in Joe's world.
The mission involving Alexei Uramov reminded us just how dangerous her job is. Even though the operation ended successfully, Joe clearly wasn't comfortable with everything that happened.
In previous seasons, Joe always believed that she could leave the battlefield behind whenever she saw Neil coming home. Now that line has completely disapeared because her enemies have crossed the line that was supposed to be safe. The new episode picks up with the results of that terrifying attack and it seems that the situation has become even more dangerous.
In episode 2, Neil noticed police cars outside their house while driving his children to school. He then visited Kaitlyn to demand an explanation as she was investigating their house after the shootout.
Kaitlyn told him that his wife was still alive and promised she would do everything possible to protect her, but surprisingly she ordered him to leave the area and not reveal anything to the children.
The episode ended with Joe being taken to a safe house at Camp Peary where she met Neil again and then broke down. She asked him to forgive her for bringing the danger of her work into their home.
