Love Is Blind: Aneha's delulu altar walkaway proves she wanted a fiancé, not a husband

Aneha rejected Cam at the altar during the finale episode of Love Is Blind season 11. The 28-year-old principal engineer in biotech said she believed that Cam was her "person", but "not today."

Aneha admitted in her confessional after her refusal at the altar that she refused to commit to Cam because of their communication problems. She revealed that had Cam remained "communicative" as he was during their pod dates, she would have said "yes" to him at the altar.

She also pointed out that Cam was not "husband material."

But even after refusing him, Aneha said in her walkaway from the altar:

"You're still my fiancé."

This showed a slight contradiction in what Aneha actually wanted from the experiment.

Love Is Blind: Aneha was not sure about Cam after the pods

After the reveal during Love Is Blind season 11 episode 4, Aneha's reaction to Cam was weird and awkward. She kept making awkward jokes that showed her uneasiness.

She even admitted in her confessional after the reveal that Cam was not the type of guy she would normally go for. Later during their trip to Mexico, Aneha revealed that her parents might not accept him.

She also revealed she called her mother, and they didn't want anything to do with the experiment or the wedding. Several times on the show, Aneha displayed that she was unsure about their connection because of her parents' disapproval. At one point, she admitted that if her sister did not approve of Cam, that might sway her opinion about the wedding.

This was just the tip of the iceberg in their relationship; other instances showed that Aneha was unhappy about several things.

Aneha also had differing opinions about financial matters; she wanted Cam to take care of her financially and stated:

"But when it comes to money, I like my partner to be the main person."

They argued about the issue during episode 9 of Love Is Blind, which suggested that Aneha doubted whether Cam could fit the role of the husband she envisioned.

Aneha and Cam had different goals regarding their future family. Aneha told Cam that she wanted to have a kid when she was 35 and did not "necessarily" want to be pregnant and was open to surrogacy.

The contradiction

But despite all the signs that suggested that Aneha was not into Cam, Aneha talked about her love for Cam several times.

Even during the final episode of Love Is Blind, she claimed Cam was someone whom she would "love" for the rest of her life.

She told Cam that he knew how to "balance" her out. Aneha also stated in her speech at the altar:

"And I'm very excited about the next part of our journey together."

After refusing Cam at the altar, she even said that now that he was in her life, she could not imagine her life without him.

This contradiction suggested that Aneha may have always wanted a fiancé, but when the reality of marriage set in, she stepped back.

But her insistence that they were still engaged suggested she couldn't step out of her romanticized expectations, even though, in real life, Cam wasn't the man she wanted.
