Love Is Blind's Aneha calls out trolls for telling her to "Go back to your country"

Love Is Blind's Aneha Singh has called out trolls on the internet for racism, criticizing their double standards of calling her racist and then telling her to "go back" to her country in a recent interview with Vulture.

She stated that she understood the clips circulating on the internet made her sound racist, but that has given trolls a reason to be racist toward her as well.

Aneha read out an example of the racist messages she had received and stated (via Vulture):

"I’ve had comments from people saying, “Go back to your country. Go on Love Is Blind India. Go find an auntie to set you up. You don’t belong here. You smell like curry.” While telling me I’m racist. Make that make sense."

Love Is Blind's Aneha opened up about criticism and being misunderstood

In her interview with Vulture, Aneha opened up about criticism from netizens over her "vocal quirks," and how many have even called her a robot. She clarified that her brain works differently and that many of her "scientist" friends talk similarly.

She also spoke about the backlash she faced after pointing out Cam's race and religion and said that she had dated people with different backgrounds in the past.

Aneha also pointed out that the two moments on the show that sparked widespread outrage among netizens had been 'clipped'. She shared that the only reason she was insecure about introducing Cam to her parents was that she had never done so before.

Aneha has previously clarified her comments about Cam and his background via a now-deleted post on her personal Instagram. In her post, she stressed that her family was very welcoming and accepting of people from all walks of life, and her concerns about Cam meeting her parents were much more "personal."

She ended her post, saying:

"But I hope people can recognize that cultural pride does not equate to prejudice, and that navigating these conversations does not mean rejecting someone for being different.”

Aneha rejected Cam at the altar during the finale episode of Love Is Blind season 11

During the finale episode of Love Is Blind, Aneha declined to marry Cam at the altar. Later in the episode, she said in a confessional that she wanted Cam to be as "communicative" as he had been in the pods, and that if he had stayed the same, she would have married him.

Aneha also pointed out during the finale that Cam was not "husband material" and needed more time to be "fully cooked."

She added:

"Cam has the makings of a great husband. I've never loved someone like I've loved Cam. Now that he is in my life, I can't imagine my life without him."

Talking about her decision to say no to Cam, Aneha shared in her interview with Vulture that she felt a mix of "disappointment" and "relief." Aneha admitted that the whole thing did not feel right to her, and she had to "trust her gut."

Aneha also shared during the interview that she and Cam had discussed being in a 'traditional relationship' and seeing how things would work out. She even hoped that Cam would eventually meet her family.
