John and Sarah tied the knot during the finale episode of Love Is Blind season 11. The couple's journey to the altar became a talking point among netizens, especially John's behavior and controversial takes.
But during the finale episode, Sarah revealed one of John's problematic takes.
Sarah shared:
"He thought that, like, women over 30 who are single were like problematic."
This misogynistic statement showed why it was important for women to steer clear and stay single instead of committing to men like him. This mindset is problematic, and that is not the only time John has shown that he is indeed a red flag.

Love Is Blind: John's statements during the show about women were problematic

Sarah's revelation was one of the problematic stances that John shared about women on Love Is Blind season 11. He had shared several such statements that pointed to misogyny. One of the biggest examples was his take on women's right to abortion in one of the conversations in the pods, where he told Sarah that he did not understand how it is justified for a woman to have an abortion at six months because you never got around to it.
This, in my opinion, should have given Sarah a hint that something was wrong with John's views on women.
The next moment that raised an alarm for me about John was the condition of his apartment and his unapologetic refusal to change that during one of the episodes of Love Is Blind. This clearly signalled that he does not believe it is a man's job to maintain and clean the house. This mindset came to the forefront when Sarah talked to him about women taking the mental load of running a household, and John stated:
" 'Cause you are nesters."
He also seemed to be one of those who love-bombed their partners when conversations seemed to go out of their control. At one point, when Sarah raised concern about his reaction to a stressful situation and his anger issues, he patronizingly told her that she was making him "more patient."
But the statement that a single woman over 30 is problematic was the last straw on the camel's back for me as a viewer. This comment clearly points out that a woman who is not married or in a serious relationship with a man by that age has some issues. Why is it so hard for some men like John to believe that women, like men, could also prioritize themselves and their careers before committing to any man? Or maybe they have not found the right person. The possibilities are endless.
The netizens also pointed out that John's take on single women over 30 did not sit well with them either.
One X user wrote:
"Women over 30 who are single are problematic? lol what about you, John."
Another netizen on X stated:
"If reading what is alleged about John and Sarah is true, the stuff she said about someone switching up and what he said about women over 30 being problematic is very eerie."
Ladies would be better off single than settling for someone with such problematic takes. Be with the men who know your worth and do not judge based on such a patriarchal mindset.
