The game of love is on among the islanders on Love Island Australia season 8. Connections are forming, and some are keeping their options open. But some islanders seem to have made up their minds about the person they like, and they are sticking to it.

Natalie, aka Nat, admitted after seeing Jack in the Love Island villa that she had met him before and he had ghosted her. But in the end, she was coupled up with him. They were considered one of the strongest couples in the villa until bombshell Sammi arrived and things went haywire.

Nat grew insecure after Sammi picked up Jack for a one-on-one date, and Jack was also excited to be with Sammi. But then Nat's actions became increasingly desperate to keep Jack by her side, and it's now hard to watch.

Love Island Australia: Nat's attempts at keeping Sammi away from Jack are embarrassing

After Jack went on a one-on-one date with Sammi on Love Island Australia, Nat felt threatened and admitted to Shawnee that Sammi was everything Jack wanted physically in a woman.

She made it clear to Jack after the date how she felt about the date and Jack's reaction to Sammi.

Nat got physically intimate with Jack that night and afterward said:

"I hope she f***ing hears."

The next day, Jack told Shawnee that Nat had "marked her territory" by getting intimate with him. This territory marking seemed over the top and desperate.

Not just that, she even made a demeaning comment about Sammi for not having kissed or being intimate with a guy for two years. It was the apex of putting someone down just to grab a man's attention. Later in the episode, Nat stressed to Jack that Sammi lacked the "spice" he needed in a girl.

But this was not the end of Natalie's attempt to grab Jack's undivided attention and affection during the latest episode of Love Island Australia. She even pulled Sammi up for a chat and told her how much of a red flag Jack was.

This seemed contradictory, as she was ready to make her connection look bad in front of someone just to be with him. Sammi also seemed to understand Natalie's action and said in her confessional:

"I felt in the chat that Nat was...she was trying to say how strong they were. But I don't know. I think that was marking her territory. And I think that is not the way you go about it."

Nat also kept stressing how much she liked Jack and how perfect they were for each other, which made the conversation even more awkward.

At the end, Nat announced in her confessional that Sammi was "annoyingly nice" and posed no threat to her in terms of personality.

But her actions seemed to suggest otherwise.

We would have to wait to see what unfolds in Jack and Nat's story on Love Island Australia season 8. But till then, Natalie, stop embarrassing yourself!
