Love Island USA Season 8 has officially entered its Casa Amor era! As seasoned fans of the Peacock reality TV series will know, Casa Amor is a staple and the most dramatic midseason twist in every season of Love Island, which separates the original Islanders (boys and girls) into two different villas and introduces a new group of attractive single contestants aka bombshells. Naturally, the Casa Amor twist is designed to test the strength and loyalty of the existing couples.

The Sunday episode of Love Island USA Season 8 saw the arrival of six new female Casa Amor bombshells, who were introduced to the original men. While this twist certainly increased the stakes inside the villa, the 21-year-old film student from Miami, Florida, Alannah Keyser quickly gained online traction after a video of her saying the N-word resurfaced.

Just hours after Alannah Keyser's Love Island USA Season 8 debut on Sunday, fans discovered her resurfaced videos and Instagram comments using racial slur, leading to intense backlash online.

More on this in our story.

Why is Alannah Keyser facing backlash following Love Island USA's Season 8 twist?

While Love Island USA Season 8's Casa Amor twist increased the stakes inside the villa, things are also heating up on the outside, after fans discovered resurfaced videos and screenshots of Alannah Keyser.

The 21-year-old newest Casa Amor bombshell was allegedly seen singing along to a song with a racial slur in a resurfaced video. While the video footage is blurry and has not been independently verified, Alannah Keyser is facing strong backlash online, with some fans even demanding that she be removed from Peacock's reality dating series. To add fuel to the fire, some social media users also found Alannah Keyser's resurfaced Instagram comment, where she allegedly used the N-word, inviting more backlash and criticism.

Although the timing of these alleged incidents remains unclear and they have not been independently verified, they could significantly impact Alannah Keyser's standing on Love Island USA Season 8. Neither Peacock nor Alannah Keyser's team has addressed the resurfaced videos and comments, which are inviting even more speculation and backlash from fans.

This is not the first time that a Love Island USA Season 8 cast member has found themselves amid a controversy. Vasana Montgomery, who was slated to join the ongoing season of the reality TV series, was axed just days before the filming, after she was allegedly seen singing a song lyric with a racial slur.

Additionally, Yulissa Escobar departed the show following the premiere episode, after fans discovered her podcast clips, in which she could be seen using the N-word. Cast member Cierra Ortega also abruptly departed the show after a resurfaced video saw her using an offensive racial slur targeting Asians. While Stirling stated that Ortega left the villa for personal reasons, the former Islander later addressed the situation on social media, taking full responsibility and saying she was unaware that the term she used was considered a slur.

Since Love Island USA Season 8 has had many such instances, which led to immediate exits, Alannah Keyser's fate remains uncertain. While the young film student emerged as a strong contestant during the Sunday broadcast, the resurfaced videos have altered fans' perspective, with many demanding her removal from the series.

Additionally, following Alannah Keyser's reported links to past racial slur, fans are also questioning the series' casting choices and asking whether extensive background checks were done before deciding the new Casa Amor cast.
