She describes that time for their family as:

"Massive life shift moment."

She added:

"Anytime I was with him, we would get followed by paparazzi and get our picture taken too. And all of a sudden, this is our new reality."

It highlights how when an artist gets popular, life doesn't just change for them but their entire family.

Mia Perry Bowick had also talked about Perry and the docuseries with Tudum by Netflix, saying:

“It’s taken time for me to feel ready to share these memories and what it was like to love Matthew through all the complexity of his life — to see him as a whole person, not just as Chandler, and not just as someone who struggled with addiction."

She continued:

“As his sister, he shaped who I am today, the person I strive to be, and the work to which I’ve devoted my life. Matthew had a beautiful heart and a generous spirit, and even in his darkest moments, he could still make you laugh and feel loved. I hope this series gives everyone who loved him, whether personally or from afar, a deeper appreciation for who he truly was, and the legacy he leaves behind.”

Clips from interviews with two of Matthew Perry's friends are also heard in the sneak peek. One talked about how busy Perry became when he started working on Friends. He said:

"Matthew went from being like a guy I would hang out with…to being a guy who was not so available to hang out with anymore. I wasn't mad at it. I understood it. And he leaned into it."

Another friend of Perry's said that the kind of love, adoration, and attention Perry received was insane.

Besides Mia Perry Bowick, the docuseries will cover interviews with Roger Castillo and David Pressman, who were Matthew Perry’s longtime best friends for over 40 years, and Warren Littlefield, NBC Entertainment’s president in the 1990s who approved the Friends pilot. Moreover, Jeff Strauss, a writer and producer on Friends, and René Ashton, Perry's friend and girlfriend in the late 1990s, were also interviewed for the docuseries.

Others interviewed for the docuseries are Tim Harrington, who met Perry at a recovery meeting in 2001 and credited him with saving his life; actor and Perry's co-star, Kevin Pollak, Marjorie Harris Newman, and Billy Gallo, among others.

The docuseries is directed by Mary Robertson. The docuseries is executive produced by Robertson, Lisa Kalikow, Eli Holzman, and Aaron Saidman.
