When an ordinary copier salesman and devoted father is revealed to be leading a double life as an assassin, things are bound to get interesting. Add a failing memory, and you have a thriller that hooks you fast. The pilot episode of Memory of a Killer introduces the audience to Angelo Doyle, played by Patrick Dempsey, a hitman who suffers from early-onset Alzheimer’s. Other prominent cast members of the Fox crime drama series include Michael Imperioli, Richard Harmon, Odeya Rush, and Daniel David Stewart, among others.

In Memory of a Killer Episode 1, we meet widower Angelo, who leads a simple life as a copier salesman. He is especially fond of his pregnant daughter, Maria. However, things take a turn when the audience learns that Angelo has another job as an assassin in New York City and works for his childhood friend, Dutch. Due to his illness, Angelo’s memory starts to play hide-and-seek, with him experiencing regular lapses. Add to this, he is being followed by someone.

Angelo has been leading a meticulously planned double life for years, which is now under threat, not just from the symptoms of his disease but also from an unexpected enemy. Memory of a Killer is based on the Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer. The series is created by Ed Whimore and Tracey Malone. Episode 1 is gripping from the get-go, elevated further by a cast that delivers outstanding performances.

Patrick Dempsey as Angelo Doyle – In Memory of a Killer, Angelo is an ordinary family man who lives a double life as a deadly assassin in New York City. He has early-onset Alzheimer’s, which could unravel his carefully planned life. Patrick Dempsey is one of the more well-known faces in Hollywood, known for his roles in Grey’s Anatomy, Enchanted, Bridget Jones's Baby and Devils.

Odeya Rush as Maria – Maria is Angelo’s pregnant daughter, who is a school teacher. Despite being close to her father, she is unaware of his job as a killer. Odeya Rush has also been in Dangerous Waters and Lady Bird.

Daniel David Stewart as Jeff – Jeff is Maria’s husband, who is an inventor, but has not been able to contribute much financially to the household. He does not have the best relationship with his father-in-law. Daniel David Stewart has been in other successful shows such as Reacher, For All Mankind and Never Have I Ever.

Michael Imperioli as Dutch – In Memory of a Killer, Michael Imperioli plays the role of the crime boss Dutch, who is also Angelo’s childhood friend. Dutch, however, does not know about Angelo’s other life as a family man. Imperioli has previously appeared in The Sopranos, Blue Bloods, and The White Lotus.

Richard Clarkin as Michael Doyle – Michael Doyle is Angelo’s brother who is at a care facility because of his advanced Alzheimer’s. Richard Clarkin has also been in Son of a Critch.

Richard Harmon as Joe – Joe is Angelo’s number two and Dutch’s nephew. Richard Harmon has also appeared in Final Destination: Bloodlines, Tracker and The Good Doctor.

Omar Tucci as Carl Mosher – Carl Mosher is a mob boss in Memory of a Killer, whose brother is killed by Angelo. Angelo suspects that Mosher is after him to seek revenge. Omar Tucci has also been in Twisted Metal and Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent.

Michaela McManus as Nicky – Nicky is a bartender who will enter a romantic relationship with Angelo. However, she will come to learn about his deteriorating condition when she finds his gun in his refrigerator. Michaela McManus has also been part of other ventures including The Orville, The Village and You.

Peter Gadiot as Dave – In Memory of a Killer, Detective Dave of Hudson Springs, is a friend of Angelo, who is not aware of the double life he is leading as an assassin. Other than Memory of a Killer, Peter Gadiot is also known for his roles in Silo, Yellowjackets and One Piece.
