A new round of secret tasks and deception is afoot as Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Million Dollar Secret Season 2, the second entry of its reality game show, scheduled to premiere on April 15. British comedian Peter Serafinowicz will return to hosting duties in the second season, which will welcome a new round of 14 contestants as they use elements of strategy, deception and social deduction to win the grand prize of $1 Million.

Charles Wachter serves as the showrunner for Million Dollar Secret Season 2, with Brent Montgomery, Glenn Hugill, Will Nothacker and Russ Friedman serving as executive producers.

Million Dollar Secret Season 2 release date and streaming details

A new game of deception and elimination will begin in Million Dollar Secret Season 2, scheduled to arrive on Netflix on April 15. The sophomore entry of the reality series will follow a similar release pattern as that of its freshman entry, which is as follows:

• Episodes 1-3: April 15
• Episodes 4-6: April 22
• Episodes 7-8: April 29

Million Dollar Secret Season 2: 14 contestants, 1 millionaire

Season 2 of Million Dollar Secret will return with the same format but with more contestants. The recently released trailer features Peter Serafinowicz welcoming a new round of 14 contestants to The Stag, the luxurious lakeside estate (located at Château Okanagan in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada) that will make one of them a millionaire. The contestants will be given a mysterious box, with only one containing $1 million. The 'millionaire' must keep their identity hidden as the contestants try to uncover and eliminate them. The last remaining player becomes the final 'millionaire,' winning the season and the grand prize of $1 million.

Per Netflix's official press release, the official synopsis for Million Dollar Secret Season 2 reads as follows:

“This season, the stakes are higher than ever as players face trickier agendas, grueling challenges and navigate the ever-changing game of deception. Do they have what it takes to keep their Million Dollar Secret?”

Executive producer Glenn Hugill has teased that the upcoming season will be more 'twisted' than ever, with players pulling off secret tasks and crossing all boundaries to keep their identities hidden. As a new batch of contestants brings a unique approach to the game, only one player will become the ultimate Millionaire.

Praising host Serafinowicz, Hugill added (via Variety):

''Peter Serafinowicz somehow manages to make players feel completely safe and absolutely doomed with the same raised eyebrow. I genuinely don’t think there’s a better host alive.”
