Brothers’ star Matthew McConaughey recently got candid about the 'most underrated' bathroom-related morning ritual from his day. The Academy Award-winning actor recently appeared in an episode of the popular interview series Subway Takes and dropped a relatable hot take in front of host Kareem Rahma.

As with the series' concept, Rahma asked the Brothers' star to defend his most unhinged or micro-observational "hot takes" while riding the New York City subway. Matthew McConaughey replied:

“The most underrated part of a good day is dropping a good d*uce in the AM.”

The segment took a hilarious turn as Rahma and McConaughey took turns discussing the importance of a good digestive system and how a good start to the day sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Matthew McConaughey was quick to defend his hot take to Rahma about the importance of a good p**p in the morning. The Brothers' star feels it's 'taboo' to talk about this topic, but having a good start in the bathroom is key to having a good day:

“We don’t give enough credit — maybe it’s taboo to talk about. The credit we’ve got to give the digestive system. I mean, you get a half-inch taller. Your mind’s clearer. Thoughts are clicking. Eyes get bluer. Everything starts to work.”

When Rahma confessed he had yet to visit the bathroom, McConaughey admitted he had yet to make his visit too, which is how he came up with this hot take in the first place.

The conversation shifted to the relationship between fiber intake and a good digestive system when the Subway Takes host pointed out that people should eat more fiber. To this, Matthew McConaughey agreed and replied:

“More fiber? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m with you. I understand that concept. I understand the fiber concept and I have, too, probably for that same reason, because it’s just a whole brand new day."

He added:

"It sets the tone for the rest of the day. You ever traveled, flown a long trip and landed and 24 hours went by, 48 hours went by and you’re working in that 72nd hour and you’re going 'This is not good. This is not good. The world’s not getting the best of me, and I know exactly why.'"

Matthew McConaughey, who was previously seen in Apple TV's survival drama film The Lost Bus, is currently starring in Apple TV's ongoing comedy series Brothers, alongside Woody Harrelson. Brothers, in which Harrelson and McConaughey play fictional versions of themselves, follows the actors as their strong friendship is put to the test. After Harrelson's daughter's wedding falls apart, the actor drops in unannounced at Matthew McConaughey's family ranch in Texas, a visit that sets the stage for a shocking family secret: that the two might be brothers.

In addition to Harrelson and McConaughey, the comedy series stars Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla and Holland Taylor.

Brothers releases weekly episodes every Wednesday on Apple TV. Catch the finale, titled On the Road Again. Again, on November 4 on Apple TV.
