Episode 8 ended with a tender moment between Ha-gi and Da-reum, after they faced a lot of challenges. Da-reum almost resigned after articles about her and Lee-chan's dating rumors were out, with DNX fans calling her out and even labeling Da-reum as a "sasaeng fan," which means someone obsessive over a celebrity.
When Lee-chan looked into the matter, he found out that it was her ex-girlfriend who tried to bring Da-reum down. Thankfully, Lee-chan handled the situation, followed by Ha-gi's formal statement from Appello Fashion, making it clear that Da-reum won't be fired as she's a respected employee.

Episode 8 of My Bias, My Boss begins with Da-reum finding herself in a tough spot after an article about her and Lee-chan dating comes out. It reveals her identity and the fact that she is a DNX fan.
This results in other fans expressing disappointment and hate for Da-reum, demanding her resignation and boycotting Appello Fashion. Just like Da-reum, Ha-gi also feels heartbroken, as he never thought that the guy he was wondering about was none other than his closest friend, Lee-chan.
He notices that social media is filled with hate for Da-reum and tells her not to come to work until further notice. Before Da-reum leaves, she hands over her resignation, saying she doesn't wish to hurt the company.

My Bias, My Boss Episode 8 recap: Ha-gi comes to Da-reum's rescue amid the scandal

Episode 8 of My Bias, My Boss continues as Lee-chan fans storm outside Appello and demand Da-reum's removal from the company. When Da-reum leaves for home, those fans corner her and start throwing things at her.
Just when someone throws an egg at Da-reum, Ha-gi saves her from humiliation. He asks the reporters and fans to leave if they wish to avoid any legal trouble. Da-reum's friends take her back home and try to make her happy.
However, she feels broken and worries about the company. At the same time, the officials arrive at Appello and demand that Ha-gi fire the employee and save the company and clients. But Ha-gi refuses to do so and promises that he'll fix everything.
While Da-reum is at home, she receives a call from Master Im Cheong-rim, who informs her about her visit to Appello soon. She liked the DIY kit and would like to discuss a few things. However, she's unaware of the scandal surrounding Appello.
As for Lee-chan, he finds reporter Do Eun-yeong, who broke the story about him and Da-reum. Lee-chan came to know about her through Ha-gi, who told him to fix this mess. When Lee-chan confronts her, he says that he read the article, and Lee's manager also mentions that Cho-yi is also a regular at this place.
When reporter Do tries to act smart, Lee-chan says that he will have to find his own way to talk to fans if she refuses to correct the fact. Reporter Do finally agrees and welcomes Lee-chan for an exclusive interview.
During the stream, Lee-chan reveals that he is not dating the Appello employee and that fans should respect that. He urges her to stop spreading any false claims and threatening him, and urges his fans to keep supporting him as always.
My Bias, My Boss episode 9 ending explained: Da-reum expressed her feelings as the scandal is settled

Later in episode 8 of My Bias, My Boss, Da-reum prepares everything needed for Master Im-cheong-rim's visits. On the day of her visit, Master Im asks Ha-gi to convey her gratitude to Da-reum, as she did a great job in the DIY kit.
Ha-gi then sends Mi-yeong to talk to Da-reum. When they meet, Da-reum tries to explain that she's not a sasaeng fan and that it's hard for people to understand. However, the marketing team leader surprises Da-reum by revealing that she herself was a devoted DNX fan.
In fact, Mi-yeong was the first president of D-Angel, a group of fans who protected DNX when the group was receiving hate. She reveals that Lee-chan approached her to work at Appello, and now she's here, leading the marketing team.
So, Mi-yeong tells Da-reum to come back, as all her colleagues are missing her presence and the fun she brings to the office. This makes Da-reum feel incredibly happy, and she also comes to know about Appello's official statement from the CEO regarding the scandal.
Ha-gi mentioned that Appello has reviewed the scandal reports, and their employee has done nothing wrong. She has been working really hard, even on new projects, and will remain a respected figure in the company.
This leaves Da-reum emotional, so she rushes to Ha-gi’s place and finds him outside his house. Ha-gi notices that Da-reum ran all the way to see him and gives her his shawl to keep her warm in the freezing cold. Da-reum then reveals that she does not want to leave Appello.
In fact, she wants to grow with the company and admits that she has missed everyone. Da-reum also tells Ha-gi that she missed him and that she likes him, prompting him to kiss her. As episode 8 of My Bias, My Boss ends with their kiss, the two finally become honest about their feelings for each other.
