From My Royal Nemesis to Agent Kim Reactivated, Netflix has given us several superhit K-dramas in the first half of the year. Whether it's action K-dramas or fantasy and romance, 2026 has kept K-drama fans busy with intriguing stories and likeable characters.
While we may have thought we might not get to see these beloved characters again, it is reported that My Royal Nemesis, Phantom Lawyer, and Agent Kim Reactivated might return for Season 2. According to Munhwa, a Korean news outlet, Studio S, which produced all three superhit K-dramas, is in talks to bring these three shows back for a sequel.
While it is not yet confirmed, all three K-dramas have stories left to tell.

3 superhit Netflix K-dramas might be returning for Season 2
As reported, My Royal Nemesis, Phantom Lawyer, and recently released Agent Kim Reactivated are in talks about returning for sequels. The CEO of Studio S, Hong Seong-chang, revealed in an interview with Munhwa that Studio S is "actively considering producing sequels" for these 3 fan-favorite K-dramas.
While My Royal Nemesis concluded on a happy note for both Kang Dan-shim and Shin Seo-ri, the director of the fantasy Korean drama, Han Tae-seop, shared his idea of what Season 2 of the K-drama would be. In an interview with The Chosun Daily, he stated:
"If Season 2 were to happen without prior planning, a body-swap scenario where Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-jun play each other’s roles would be hilarious and exciting."
Apart from his idea of body swap, Season 2 could also explore Dan-shim and Yi Hyeon's love story in the Joseon era as they try to survive the Crown Prince's wrath and not get killed this time.
Another fantasy K-drama that is eyeing a sequel is Phantom Lawyer, starring Yoo Yeon-seok and Esom. Season 1 explored how Yeon-seok's character Yi-rang began to see ghosts, and by the end of the show, he grew accustomed to them and decided to keep helping them. Season 2 can bring more twists to the story with more ghost clients. Along with the heartfelt stories and interesting characters, Yeon-seok's acting was another highlight of the K-drama. From impersonating a teenage girl to the ghost of a 70-80-year-old Alzheimer's patient, he portrayed every character he was possessed by perfectly.
The last K-drama that is being eyed for Season 2 is Agent Kim Reactivated. The thriller K-drama follows a father's relentless efforts to find his daughter, which he ultimately succeeds in, with the help of his friends. The K-drama ended with Mr. Kim and his daughter relocating and changing their names, hinting at a hopeful new start for both of them.
However, trouble might be on its way for him as the show has been teased to return since the finale premiered in July 2026. Apart from Studio S's CEO, actor So Ji-sub, who portrayed the character of Mr. Kim, also shared a message on social media (as per The Chosun Daily), which reads:
"Farewell, Chief Kim. I will be back."
These hints have fans anticipating the announcement of Agent Kim Reactivated Season 2. We should soon find out if My Royal Nemesis and other 2 K-dramas will be returning for a sequel.
