My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 recap: Se-gye comes across a shocking truth while Tae-hee takes a desperate step

Se-gye comes across a shocking truth while Tae-hee takes a desperate step in My Royal Nemesis Episode 8

My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 starts with the unveiling of a past moment shared between Seo-ri and Se-gye. Seo-ri observed a painting when Se-gye arrived. Right at that moment, the weather changed, and it started to rain. Though Seo-ri tried to close the gates, Se-gye urged her to keep the gates open.

The two of them shared a quiet moment and began to discuss the rain. Though Se-gye enjoyed the rain, Seo-ri did not share the same opinion. The scene cuts back to the present timeline when Se-gye tries to protect Seo-ri during the press conference. Seo-ri takes Se-gye’s hand and rushes out, where a crowd of media personnel has gathered, eager to get answers.

Seo-ri tells everyone that she is going to give them all the answers and tells them that she is the one from the rumors. She also tells them that Se-gye did not touch any alcohol during the night of the scandal. She gives an elaborate description of the whole situation, shifting the blame away from Se-gye. She also tells them that Se-gye will donate half of the profits from the commercial shoot to the conservation of Tamna Island’s natural heritage.

Though Se-gye is completely shocked by Seo-ri’s words, he decides to play along. He also agrees to do the charity donation. My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 continues with Seo-ri checking the news websites to find that the narrative has already started to change. However, soon, Se-gye arrives and asks her about her actions. Seo-ri explains the strategy behind their reversal, which has already started to work in their favor.

During dinner, Se-gye asks Seo-ri about the reason she tried to protect him. Seo-ri tells Se-gye that she had to do something because he was about to be unjustly torn apart by everyone. Right at this moment, a flashback scene shows that in her past as Dan-sim, Seo-ri was punished for the possession of a jade dagger.

Though she was asked to confess her involvement with the Chaongheon, she refused to do so. This past incident has caused her to make the decision to never cower behind a man and to take action herself, just as she did to protect Se-gye in front of the media.

My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 continues with Tae-hee arriving to speak with Se-gye’s grandfather. It can be understood that she is eager to get married to Se-gye. She is also ready to do anything to achieve her goals. On the other hand, after completing their dinner, while he and Seo-ri are about to return, Se-gye gets a call informing him about the situation. He finds that Tae-hee has taken a drastic step to force Se-gye to marry her.

She has confirmed to the public that she is in a relationship with Se-gye. Moon-do is also not happy with the release of this news. My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 continues with Se-gye and Seo-ri spending quality time together while Moon-do gets more and more irritated that the scandal against Se-gye has started to die down, causing the stock prices to rise once again.

However, Se-gye and Seo-ri’s dynamic takes a hilarious turn after Se-gye tells the truth about Tae-hee’s situation. On the other hand, when Se-gye arrives to speak to his grandfather about Tae-hee’s actions, he finds that Tae-hee is already present.

Though he tries to speak privately with his grandfather, his grandfather urges him to speak in front of Tae-hee. Though Se-gye tries to make Tae-hee understand that he is only concerned about Seo-ri, Tae-hee does not listen to him and tells him that she will be waiting for him.

My Royal Nemesis Episode 8 continues with further details of Tae-hee’s desperation being unveiled. A further hilarious turn takes place when Seo-ri exposes Choi, a cult leader. The news of this incident further pushes Se-gye to be with Seo-ri. Things take a turn when Seo-ri returns and finds a parcel from Moon-do.

Moon-do speaks to Seo-ri and tells her to break up Se-gye and Mochang and use whatever means necessary for it; otherwise, her family will be targeted. Moon-do is not ready to jeopardize his position in the company and is now ready to take every action needed to protect himself. He also gives her only two weeks to fulfill his demands. At the end of My Royal Nemesis Episode 8, while sleeping, Se-gye has a dream of his past where he gets arrested so that he can protect Dan-sim.

After waking up from the dream, Se-gye realizes everything, especially about the times when Seo-ri spoke about dying. The next day at the Dynaestic event, Tae-hee arrives to speak with Seo-ri and tries her best to make Seo-ri stay away from Se-gye. However, it does not happen. At the very end of this episode of My Royal Nemesis, Se-gye arrives and takes Seo-ri away. He then calls her Dan-sim, which completely surprises Seo-ri. The stage is now set with a new level of intensity as Se-gye is aware of the truth of Seo-ri.
