New Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set photos might have spoiled the storyline for the show

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is now in production, and early set photos have recently surfaced.

Now, fans love to see behind-the-scenes images of their favorite shows, but sometimes these images can spoil upcoming episodes. Images from the set show returning characters and details that tease what’s coming next, both at the end of Seasons 2 and 3.

Based on what we have seen in Season 2 so far, Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 looks set to explore a major political shift in New York City. Coincidentally, set images from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 suggest that Wilson Fisk may not remain in power for long. This strongly hints that Season 2 could end with a change in leadership, setting up a completely new storyline for the following season.

How Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 set images hint at future storylines

One of the most talked-about revelations from the set photos is the return of Mike Colter as Luke Cage. He was seen wearing an outfit similar to his Mayor Cage appearance from the comics. While not officially confirmed, this might mean that we will see Mayor Cage in NYC's politics and maybe even replace Mayor Fisk in Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.

This also aligns with what Dario Scardapane had said to The New York Times,

"Every time I say something, there [are] repercussions. So, Parts one and two of this current story, where Fisk becomes the mayor and Matt leads the resistance—that dynamic comes to a place that is inevitable."

Scardapane also said that it is, however

"not the end of Fisk’s story in any way, shape, or form,"

Thus, that "inevitable" might be Fisk losing his Mayoral position and Cage taking over.

There are also signs that Finn Jones will return as Iron Fist. With Krysten Ritter already confirmed to reprise her role as Jessica Jones, the series appears to be bringing back key members of the Defenders. This way, the show might be trying to connect more with the Marvel-Netflix shows' characters and expand the shared Marvel universe even more.

What makes these set images even more interesting is how closely they follow the comic book's storyline. In Marvel Comics, Luke Cage eventually becomes the mayor of New York City. If Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 takes inspiration from that arc, it would give the character a new and important role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At this stage, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the return of Colter or Jones for Season 3. Despite that, the presence of these actors on set, in their respective character costumes, has made it difficult to keep things under wraps.

As filming continues, more details are likely to surface, revealing additional hints about the upcoming storyline. There is a possibility that upcoming episodes will begin setting up Luke Cage and Iron Fist’s return, or at least hint at what’s going to happen. Either way, a lot of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 already seems predictable, and one can hope that there are still some surprises left for viewers when the season is actually released.
