The Boys is over, but that doesn't mean the Vought Cinematic Universe is over as well. While The Boys ended with Homelander's death, the Vought Corporation is still running. The company went through a complete rebranding and removed itself from Homelander and his doomed legacy.Vought will most likely continue making superheroes, and as the company enters a new era, a new video hints at a fresh superhero saga ahead. What does the new Vought Cinematic Universe announcement mean?A new teaser has been posted by Vought Cinematic Universe (@voughtcinematicuniverse) in collaboration with Sony Pictures TV (@sonypicturestv), both on Instagram and YouTube. The franchise has made shows such as The Boys, Gen-V and is soon going to release a prequel series, Vought Rising. This time, however, it seems that the franchise is headed towards exploring their in-universe cinematic universe. View this post on Instagram Instagram PostThe new teaser posted says,"Over the past 75 years, we have penetrated the farthest reaches of the globe. Now, we gaze towards the future. We are storytellers, it's written in our DNA, and today, we spread it to everyone. The Vought Cinematic Universe. Where all worlds come together."It is evident that this Vought Cinematic Universe stands for the same in-universe cinematic universe that made films revolving around The Seven and other superheroes. The Boys revealed that films like Dawn of the Seven (2022), Translucent: Invisible Force 2, and Rising Tide (2007), among others, were all part of the VCU.The new teaser seems to suggest that new in-universe superhero films are going to be made in the future, and they are all going to be part of the VCU. Interestingly, after the teaser was released on YouTube, the new VCU account began posting highlights from The Boys, Gen-V, and The Boys Presents: Diabolical. At the time of writing this article, the account has posted 15 such highlight videos. There are two possibilities here. Either the Vought Cinematic Universe is a new home for all projects of the franchise, or it is the beginning of a new era of films and shows. In The Boys Season 4, Episode 5, we saw a fan convention, V52 Expo, which announced the slate of projects from phases 7 to 19 of the VCU, which were in development.Among them were projects like The Tek Knight, G-Men: Days Past From The Future, Flipped, and The Deep: Secrets of Atlantis. While these exact projects might not get made, we might see new in-universe projects starring new or existing Vought superheroes. Prime Video or Eric Kripke, who was the developer and showrunner of The Boys and is an executive producer on Vought Rising, has yet to release an official statement regarding this new teaser.More information about the future of the Vought Cinematic Universe will hopefully be revealed in due time. Stay tuned for more updates. The Boys, Gen-V, and The Boys Presents: Diabolical are all streaming on Prime Video.
