Big Mistakes is about to get a special screening! A screening that's not so conventional in ways that you might think! A long-running family hardware store in Middlesex County wants to have a special screening of the show, and they also expect to have a public screening.
Why? Because a few scenes were filmed right there, and they want the community to see it together, in the same space where it all happened, and in a place where some of the scenes were filmed!
It is part pride, part celebration, and also a very smart way to bring people in and spread the show even more!
A local store, a Dan Levy Netflix set, and why this screening is taking place
All of the buzz around Dan Levy's Big Mistakes has also reached a family-run shop that has been around since 1976. Edison Millwork and Hardware is the store that has been planning an outdoor watch party on April 11 at 7:30 p.m., and they are opening it up to everyone to watch.

Hence, there are no tickets involved, there are no barriers, and all you need to do is just show up!
What makes this more than just a casual event is also the fact that the show is filmed in multiple scenes at the store, and hence, this is not just a fan gathering meet.
To make things more fun, the store is also using the same popcorn machine that was seen on screen when serving guests.
The announcement for the public screening came through the store’s Facebook page, and the idea behind the screening is only to let people watch Big Mistakes in the exact spot where a few parts of it were created.
What is Big Mistakes about and why are people waiting for it to be released
Big Mistakes is a show releasing on Netflix that will follow two siblings who somehow get dragged into dealing with organized crime. Sounds pretty unpredictable, does it not?
Dan Levy (Schitt's Creek) will be leading the TV show as Nicky, and it has also been co-created with Rachel Sennott (Bottoms). The cast also includes
1) Taylor Ortega
2) Laurie Metcalf
3) Jack Innanen
4) Boran Kuzum
5) Abby Quinn
The show will have 8 episodes and all of the episodes will be released on April 9.
Levy has also been open about what he’s aiming for here with the show. Speaking about the project, he said to Entertainment Weekly,
“I’m so excited to be bringing this truly chaotic family story to life with Netflix.”
He also hyped his cast, adding,
“Taylor Ortega is going to become a household name, and it’s been my life’s mission to get to call Laurie Metcalf ‘mother.’ Looking forward to getting to share this with everyone.”
He also told Entertainment Weekly,
“I love writing dysfunctional family comedy. I think it’s the funniest little pool to pull from.”
This screening for Big Mistakes is all about a small business coming into the spotlight because of it, and by hosting this event, the store will be turning a filming location into a shared experience for everyone who wishes to come and join in the fun!
For a place that has been around for decades, this is a huge deal, and for fans, watching a show where it was filmed will hit different.
