Bridgerton Season 4 might not have had the best landing with fans, as the highly successful series' fourth run has set a disappointing record from fans. After fans waited two years for the fourth season, it seems to not have lived up to fans' expectations, as it has received the lowest score ever from fans on Rotten Tomatoes.
The first four episodes dropped on Netflix on January 29, with the second part all set to drop in February. While critics were largely receptive, audiences were far less forgiving. Part 1 currently sits at a 68 percent audience score from more than 1,000 reviews, making it the weakest audience-rated entry across all seasons of Bridgerton.
Critics have been kinder, with the show receiving an 80 percent Certified Fresh score based on 40 reviews, which comfortably sits above season 2’s 78 percent, which was the lowest rated season. Although numbers may increase once the second part drops, for now it's a low record considering the show's success among fans.
What is Bridgerton Season 4 about?

Bridgerton Season 4 follows Benedict Bridgerton, the younger son of the family, who has completely removed himself from the prospect of marriage. Known as a "rake", who is carefree, does as he pleases and indulges in quite a few bad traits, Violet Bridgerton is desperate to have him mend his ways and Queen Charlotte is also in on the hard work as she stands to get him married this season anyhow. It's a difficult task, as it seems. But then enters the Lady in Silver.
During a masquerade ball organized by Violet Bridgerton, Benedict meets a charming woman he becomes enamored by, only that their short meeting is cut short when she abruptly leaves after midnight. It is then revealed that she is Sophie Baek, the maid of Lady Penwood's house who was the result of Lord Penwood's affair with his maid. Benedict then launches into a search, desperately looking for her with the only thing he has of her: a single glove.
The second part of this season will focus on Benedict and him being torn between his fantasy of the Lady in Silver and his newfound bond with Sophie as he remains unaware that they are both the same person.
Talking about the second season, Yerin Ha who plays Baek told The Hollywood Reporter and said,
"I mean, it’s even a bigger whirlwind than part one. I remember even reading after [episode] four, I was like, how are these two going to figure it out together? But I think you can see a bit more of walls coming down, a bit more fight and a lot of tears."
Bridgerton Season 4 is streaming on Netflix.
