Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is finally giving fans what they wanted for years

If you've been hoping to see the Defenders in Daredevil: Born Again season 3 then we have incredibly good news for you. Set photos have dropped from New York and Mike Colter and Finn Jones are seen filming the show's third season. This means we're finally getting Luke Cage and Iron Fist both of them and we already knew Krysten Ritter was coming back as Jessica Jones in season 2, so this pretty much confirms they're all getting the band back together.

This is great news because the last time we saw them all together was 2017 which is almost a decade ago, when The Defenders miniseries dropped on Netflix. After that Marvel just kind of moved on as it took everything to Disney Plus and much of the Netflix stuff was gone. But then Daredevil was born again, this time stronger than ever and from what the set photos reveal, they're bringing everyone home.

The interesting part is both Colter and Jones have been talking about how they want to come back. Colter spoke about it on a podcast a few weeks ago that Marvel had talked to him about it and he was all ready to return. On the other hand, Jones had also talked about it during an anime convention in 2025 saying he wanted a chance to prove people wrong about his character.

For now, it's happy news that the Defenders are finally teaming up together again, the sad news is we might have to wait a while for Daredevil: Born Again season 3 to drop.

Everything we know about Daredevil: Born Again season 3

Marvel officially greenlit Daredevil: Born Again season 3 back in September 2025, even before season 2 made it's premiere. Showrunner Dario Scardapane is back and the writers' room started working in October and they're aiming to go back to basics after the Mayor Fisk arc in season 2, which means we're getting more street-level, grounded Daredevil energy from the Frank Miller comics instead of the whole political thriller arc.

Filming started in March 2026 and things are wrapping up in July, so production is already underway in New York. The cast is staying the same, with Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio, and everyone else returning.

Release-wise, it's hitting Disney Plus sometime in March 2027, so we're looking at over a year away but at least it's happening.
