Back for another season, and Jury Duty Season 2 will be leaving the courtroom behind to step into corporate chaos! Titled Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, the teaser offers a brief but revealing look at the new setup without giving a lot of details away. But this time around, the social experiment is at a company offsite for a family-owned hot sauce business. Our unsuspecting participant is Anthony, a newly hired temp who believes he is attending a routine work retreat. What he does not know is that every single person around him is an actor and each moment has been carefully staged.
The teaser primarily keeps Anthony off-screen, instead choosing to build tension through reactions, overheard conversations, and carefully chosen snippets of dialogue. From awkward team-building exercises to overly intense corporate bonding to strange power dynamics, this retreat will be anything but normal. A voiceover from Anthony sums it up perfectly when he admits that if he had told his parents what was happening, they would never believe him.
While the teaser does not exactly give away how James Marsden will be a part of this season, we will know more soon enough, as the show is all set to premiere in March.
More details about Jury Duty Season 2
Jury Duty Season 2 premieres on Prime Video on March 20 with three episodes. Two additional episodes will drop on March 27, which will be followed by a three-episode finale on April 3. Just like the debut season, the show centers its spotlight on an ordinary person as the entertainment begins.
The second season follows the success of the first season, which came out in 2023 and received much acclaim for its blend of sincerity, satire, and social experimentation.
The official synopsis of the show reads:
"Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat is a documentary-style comedy that captures a corporate offsite event at a family-owned hot sauce company from the perspective of Anthony, a recently hired temporary worker. Unbeknownst to Anthony, the entire experience is staged, every colleague around him is performing a role, and each moment – whether in conference rooms or during downtime – has been meticulously orchestrated. As the founder prepares to step down, the getaway transforms into a clash between big corporate ambitions and small business values, with control of the company hanging in the balance.”
Jury Duty Season 2 will premiere on Prime Video.
