"Get to learn about her": Neagley featurette serves BTS moments from expanding Reacher universe 

Viewers were quite worried about Neagley’s whereabouts when they could not get much information about her in the fourth season of Reacher. However, it could be understood that Maria Sten was busy with the series featuring her character “expanding” the franchise.

In a recent video shared by Prime Video, Maria Sten, along with the cast members of the series, explores the behind-the-scenes moments of the upcoming series, which is set to drop on September 16.

From the trailer of the series, it could be understood that the storyline of the upcoming series featuring Maria Sten's character, Neagley, will explore how she navigates through multiple challenges while investigating a case. The featurette also gives viewers a deeper delve into the series, exploring Maria Sten’s character and what propels her into the dangerous investigation.

Greyston Holt, who takes on the role of Detective Hudson Riley, points out that the upcoming series will give viewers the opportunity to “get to learn about her" backstory. Up until the fourth season of Reacher, not many details have been explored about Maria Sten's character other than the fact that she worked with Reacher and was also trained by him.

Nick Santora, who takes on the helm as the executive producer and showrunner of the upcoming series, notes that viewers who have enjoyed Reacher will also be able to “love” the upcoming series. Maria Sten also adds how intense the action sequences in the series will be. According to Adeline Rudolph, who brings life to the character of Renee Birdwhistle in the series, the storyline is a “rollercoaster”.

It cannot be denied that the manner in which Maria Sten depicts the character in Reacher has made the character a fan favorite. Hence, watching her bring life to Neagley in the series while exploring her backstory will also be quite intriguing. The primary focus of the storyline of this series will be on how Maria Sten’s character gets involved in solving the case of her best friend.

After Neagley finds out that her best friend is dead, she understands that it is not a simple case but one with intricacies that she needs to solve. Maria Sten notes that the investigation is “very personal” to her character, which will also cause her character to face her “repressed trauma”. Neagley’s past plays a vital role in the storyline, as she had a “hard time growing up”.

Besides Maria Sten, some of the cast members of the series are Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, etc. Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher will also be joining in alongside his protege in the series. However, he will not be a primary focus.
