Euphoria Season 3 star Zendaya has had a career that spans several critically acclaimed films and directors, but there's one person she still wishes to work with, and that's none other than Ryan Coogler. During a candid appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, she opened up about wanting to work with the Oscar-winning director, whom she has been a fan of since he worked on Fruitvale Station. Speaking to Hudson, she stated,

“Ryan Coogler… ever since Fruitvale Station. I’m from Oakland, he means so much to the world, but he means so much to us too. I always joke, ‘I know I don’t know you, but I feel like you’re my cousin.’”

Coogler's track record speaks for itself. Beyond Fruitvale Station, he's directed the Creed franchise and has also worked on Marvel's Black Panther films. Currently, he's developing several major projects, including a Black Panther sequel and original works through his production company, Proximity Media. His biggest win yet, is of course, Michael B. Jordan starrer Sinners, that sweeped the Oscar nominations this year and took home some big wins for Jordan and Coogler.

After nearly four years of waiting, HBO's hit drama Euphoria is making its triumphant return this April as the long-anticipated Euphoria Season 3 premieres on Sunday, April 12, on HBO and HBO Max, bringing back the chaotic world of Rue Bennett and her fractured friend group with a major five-year time jump.

The new season picks up half a decade later, with everyone aged up and scattered across different life paths. Sam Levinson has revealed that Rue is now south of the border in Mexico, still in debt to the ruthless Laurie and desperately searching for ways to pay her off. On the other hand, Cassie and Nate have gotten married and settled into suburban life, with Cassie obsessively scrolling through social media and envying her former classmates' seemingly perfect lives. Jules is pursuing art school as an anxious aspiring painter, Maddy's working at a talent agency in Hollywood, and Lexi is an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone.

The season will be a landmark, for it will be the last appearance of Eric Dane, who plays Cal Jacobs on the show. Also back are Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Maude Apatow, alongside a slew of newcomers, including Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, and Eli Roth.

Euphoria Season 3 will premiere on HBO Max.
