As The Boys Season 5 approaches, fans of the franchise have wondered what fate awaits the characters from Gen V, and from what we know now, even the stars are uncertain about whether the series will move further. Star of the show Jaz Sinclair has revealed she has not heard anything about the show's future after The Boys ends.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress spoke about the uncertainty around the show's future, while also praising the writers, as she stated,

"I have not. I don’t know anything as far as what the future holds. Honestly, they do such a great job with my character. They start me somewhere and they end me somewhere else entirely. And so I would hope that continues, whatever kind of arc it is."

Further added what she hopes to see in her character's future as she continued,

"In this second season, we got to see Marie make some bad choices and listen to the wrong people, and I always love that in a character. I never want to play characters who are perfect and two dimensional and not flawed. I really look for characters who f*** up, because we f*** up. I just would hope that they keep doing what they’re doing, which is giving me so much good material to work with."

Gen V season 2 ended with Marie being recruited into the resistance alongside Annie January and A-Train, but no official renewal or cancellation has come from Amazon yet. There's a narrative dependency here too: Season 3 can't be fully scripted until The Boys wraps up and reshapes the whole universe. Laz Alonso hinted at Comic-Con that Gen V and Vought Rising will continue the franchise's legacy after The Boys ends, which suggests optimism behind the scenes, even if it's not official yet.

Eric Kripke has been planning this ending for five years, and he's got the final ten pages written in his head. By all accounts, it's going to be absolutely brutal.

The final season premieres April 8, 2026. This time, Homelander owns the world, Annie's leading a scrappy resistance, and Billy Butcher's back with a virus that can wipe out every Supe on the planet. The stars and Kripke have teased it to be an adventurous ending to the chaos, and from everything we know so far, he's right.

Of course, most of the cast is back, and on the other hand, Gen V characters, including Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, Asa Germann, and Keeya King, are all set to reprise their roles, with the season set about 6 months after Gen V season 2.

The Boys Season 5 will premiere on Prime Video.
