Channing Tatum has responded to a strange online rumor that he was secretly managing an Instagram account that posted dubious remarks about his ex-fiancée Zoë Kravitz and her fiancé Harry Styles. As Channing Tatum denies running rumored Instagram burner account, a user wrote:

“Me in middle school when I got caught running the tea page.”

The "Nonya Bidness" (@bidness_nonya) account, which was allegedly posting comments on posts featuring Kravitz and Styles, was the subject of the speculation. Additionally, the account seemed to compliment Tatum while criticizing some of his past relationships.

When eagle-eyed Instagram users saw that Channing Tatum's verified account was purportedly the only follower of the anonymous page, the speculation gathered momentum. However, Tatum has since adamantly denied being behind it.

What did Channing Tatum say about the rumored burner account?

On September 21, Channing Tatum responded to the rumors on his Instagram Stories, calling them 'f***ing hilarious.' He wrote:

"Yo I truly can't believe y'all think this is what I'm doing with my free time. F***ing hilarious."

Then he asked, if he were attempting to conceal his identity, why would he publicly follow an account? He wrote:

"Also why would I follow a burner account if I didn't want people to connect me to it? WTF, come on."

Channing Tatum continued:

"If I really need to say it."

In the end, he clarified his stance by stating:

"I only have one IG account, @channingtatum."

The account has been deactivated or is no longer active. Online investigators had already linked it to Tatum after noticing that he seemed to be its only follower.

Internet reacts to Channing Tatum's denial

The bizarre theory quickly became a source of amusement online, particularly because the account appeared to follow Channing Tatum while he followed it back. One viral reaction summed up the situation with the caption, joking about Tatum’s explanation:

"Me in middle school when I got caught running the tea page."

Another user remained unconvinced by Tatum’s denial:

"Sure girl."

One commenter argued that Channing Tatum's response sounded exactly like someone trying to deny operating a burner account:

"That is exactly what someone who runs a burner account would say."

Another questioned why Tatum was following the account in the first place:

"How come he was the only person they had followed and he followed back?"

A user also wondered how Channing Tatum had discovered and followed the account:

"I truly wonder how he followed that account tho."

One pointed to claims that the account had already been linked to a different person:

"Wasnt it confirmed its not him tho cos the account owner was born in june apparently."

One commenter joked that Tatum could have a fan account dedicated to himself:

"Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a stan acc too"

Another user remained convinced that Tatum was behind the account despite his denial:

"He know d*** well that was his messy a**."

One questioned why Tatum chose to address the speculation publicly:

"Why would you even address the rumours?"

Another commenter focused on the account’s sudden change in its connection to Tatum:

"I mean why did he unfollow the acc immediately tho."

Meanwhile, one user suggested Tatum may simply be too busy dealing with the attention surrounding the story:

"He’s probably too busy being a meme to run a burner."

Tatum maintains that @channingtatum is his only Instagram account and has denied running the "Nonya Bidness" account for the time being. The real owner of the burner account is still unknown, despite the skepticism of several users.
