House of David fans have some good news coming their way as Prime Video has finally announced a premiere date for the show's second season. The streamer has confirmed that House of David Season 2 will drop on March 27, 2026 as we watch the new chapter in David's rise to power.

The show is the creative pursuit of Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, with the two also serving as executive producers along with Jonathan Lloyd Walker, Justin Rosenblatt, Chad Oakes, Michael Frislev, Trey Callaway and Mark McNair.

The official logline for the second season reads,

Season Two of House of David continues the story as Israel nears collapse as Saul’s reign falters. David rises from shepherd to warrior, caught between loyalty and destiny, while the Age of Iron transforms warfare. As families fracture, forbidden loves spark, and alliances shift, faith and power collide in a struggle that will decide Israel’s future.

As for the cast, things look stacked as we have Michael Iskander returning as David, joined by Ali Suliman as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, and Stephen Lang as Samuel. Apart from the main cast, we will also be looking at Indy Lewis, Yali Topol Margalith, Ethan Kai, Sam Otto, Oded Fehr, Louis Ferreira, Davood Ghadami, Ashraf Barhom, and Alexander Uloom.

The first season of the show premiered in 2025, debuting with the first three episodes which climbed Prime Video's charts rather quickly. The show brought in 22 million viewers in the first two weeks, and later crossed the 44 million mark, after which it was renewed.

Season 2 launched October 5, 2025, exclusively on the Wonder Project and on the channel before expanding to all Prime subscribers on March 27, 2026. The second season continues David’s journey as court politics intensify and Saul’s mental decline accelerates.

Iskander has previously spoken about how much he loves this season, as he spoke with CNA in an interview about the show's premise where he says,

“I really, really love this season. I’m extremely proud of it and proud of the work that we’ve done this time because it is truly a transformative season. In the time of David people asked, ‘How is this guy going to defeat Goliath?’ He’s just a youth … He’s a shepherd.’ ... But we see that transformation that God takes him on...He’s a different man by the end of the season than he is at the beginning and it’s really indicative of how much God can work in our lives if we let him.”

House of David is available to stream on Prime Video.
