With each new episode, the story in No Tail to Tell K-drama keeps getting interesting. In the beginning, it was all about Eun-ho granting wishes as a Gumiho and Si-yeol enjoying fame as a top footballer, but now both of them are just dealing with suffering.

The episode focused on Eun-ho and Si-yeol searching for a Gumiho in the mountains only to discover that there's an eight-tailed fox with a face that resembles Eun-ho's sister. It was a startling moment for Eun-ho but she realized that the power above was playing with her.

No Tail to Tell episode 5 recap: Si-yeol and Eun-ho stay together to find the Gumiho

Episode 5 of No Tail to Tell is titled "The Changer, the changed, and the Lacking" and opens with Eun-ho waking up from her dream. She saw Si-yeol killing her using a dagger, which frightened her.
She soon realizes that she is a human now, which means that the dream was ordinary and not a future incident. Still, she feels a little scared but Si-yeol's care ensures that she's with a good guy.
Later at night, they had to stay in one room as the inn only had one room available. Before that, Si-yeol gently used a roller on Eun-ho’s feet since they were aching. However, she couldn't sleep properly and found Si-yeol watching the sky at night.
Eun-ho joins him, and the two talk and enjoy a drink. When Si-yeol offers a jacket to Eun-ho, she belives he is flirting. However, Si-yeol clarifies that these are just mannerisms he has.
Meanwhile, Woo-seok still cannot process the success and fame he gained overnight. He wakes up from sleep and tells his father that he's scared of the day when everything will vanish.
The next morning, Si-yeol and Eun-ho start their quest in the mountains. Soon after reaching, they realize that the journey is going to be tough as both had a tiring day and now they have to climb mountains, with Eun-ho having no experience of doing it as a human.

No Tail to Tell episode 5 recap: Eun-ho is shocked to see the fox that appeared to help them

Si-yeol and Eun-ho spent the entire day searching for a nine-tailed-fox at the mountains in episode 5 of No Tail to Tell. It was evening and everyone went down. However, they kept searching for her and ended up being stuck at one point.
Si-yeol's mobile turned off and they even lost the map. It was getting cold and suddenly, a woman appeared asking if the two needed help. Si-yeol feels incredibly happy to have found the fox as he wants to make a wish.
However, Eun-ho was completely shocked when she found that the fox looks exacly like Geum-ho. At first, she thought that Geum-ho kept himself hidden, but Eun-ho realizes that she just looks like her.
The fox reveals that she is cultivating herself to become a human. She offers food to Si-yeol and Eun-ho, after which Si-yeol tells her the wish. Without hearing her out, they tell her to reverse Woo-seok and Si-yeol's fate.
Initially, it looked like the wish was about to come true, but the fox failed. She then revealed that she isn't a nine-tailed fox but an eight-tailed fox who has fewer powers. This means she isn't powerful enough to help Si-yeol.
No Tail to Tell episode 5 ending explained: Woo-seok's request to Si-yeol leads to a shocking revelation

Before episode 5 of No Tail to Tell ends, we see Mr. Lee asking his manager to search for the boy who was hit by his car. On the other side, Woo-seok's fear intensified when he experienced his fate reversing for some time.
He flies back to Seoul and meets Si-yeol and Eun-ho. Since Woo-seok doesn't know that Eun-ho is no longer a Gumiho, he requests that Si-yeol switch after a game. Since it's about a week, Si-yeol allows Woo-seok to live his life.
However, the eight-tailed fox suddenly appeared in front of them and revealed that she had found a way to turn Eun-ho back into a Gumiho. She also mentions that if this happens, Si-yeol will be able to go back to his original life.
This shocks Woo-seok as he belived Eun-ho was still a Gumiho. But now that he knows the truth, he might turn greedy and try to prevent Eun-ho's transformation in the upcoming episode of No Tail to Tell.
