No Tail To Tell is one of the latest K-dramas on SBS, which premiered in January and is now about to end. The finale is scheduled for next week, with episodes 11 and 12 arriving on the local TV channel and Netflix on the same day.

What started as mutual dislike between two completely different personalities has gradually transformed into genuine feelings of love. At the heart of the K-drama are Eun-ho, a gumiho turned human and Kang Si-yeol who was once an acclaimed footballer.

The day Eun-ho changed Si-yeol and Woo-seok's fate was the day she became human. After that, she had no option but to live with him and eventually start liking him. However, things have been really hard for Eun-ho lately as she's torn between saving Si-yeol and choosing to become a nine-tailed fox once again.

Episodes 9 and 10 of No Tail to Tell focus on the two enjoying being together while also facing challenges in life. Eun-ho met a deity once again, who told her that she had messed up with the fates of Si-yeol and Woo-seok, which would lead to deadly consequences.

A detailed recap of these episodes is right below.

No Tail to Tell episodes 9-10 recap: Woo-seok's tragic fate

In No Tail To Tell, the turning point of these episodes centers on Woo-Seok regaining the memories that had previously been erased from his mind. He learns the truth about Eun-Ho's supernatural influence over his past and how he exchanged his life for Si-Yeol's life.

Meanwhile, Lee Yoon and the Shaman, Do-Cheol both realize that Eun-Ho is no longer a mythical creature, but now an ordinary human. At first, they are disappointed because they were both working with each other, so that Do-Cheol could help Yoon get a magical fox bead.

However, they soon realize that there was another fox who erased Woo-seok's memory and now they can hunt her for the same fox bead. Woo-seok immediately senses danger but chooses not to warn Si-Yeol because he believes his friend isn’t in immediate risk.

Soon after, he experiences a medical emergency right before a football match and collapses. Doctors save him, but a higher power named Lord Pagun reveals the deeper truth to Eun-Ho: the two men’s destinies were originally opposite. One was meant to live long without glory, the other to achieve greatness but die young.

Pagun then offers her the same dagger Eun-ho once gave to Geum-ho and tells him to kill Si-yeol, save Woo-seok and return to being a gumiho. Or, she can let Woo-seok die and live as a human with Si-yeol.

Eun-ho refuses to accept any of the choices and decides she will save both of them and find another way. Later, Woo-seok is diagnosed with cancer, which means he only has a few days left.

No Tail to Tell episode 9-10 recap: Eun-ho struggles to make money

As the episode of No Tail to Tell begins, Eun-ho must put her troubles aside because she will have to deal with something a lot more dangerous: surviving as a person and being without money. With Si-Yeol being unable to pay the bills because his football team doesn’t give him enough to live off of, they are struggling financially.

To assist Si-Yeol, Eun-Ho has submitted numerous job applications and has been told over and over by future employers that she is not getting hired because of her explanation of being a graduate from the Joseon era. Most employers think she is joking.

Eun-Ho does finally get hired by a grocery store later in No Tail to Tell, but her challenges continue. She is a mascot, but cannot handle the many children surrounding her. When Eun-Ho is given samples to prepare for customers, she burns the samples.

When working at the cash register, she made several mistakes, including accidentally giving a customer too much money, and therefore owes more money than her salary after working at the grocery store.

In a bid to start over, Eun-Ho sold Si-Yeol's air conditioning unit for far less money than its true value. Eun-Ho finally comes to realize how difficult it is to be human. At the same time, Eun-Ho runs into her sister Geum-Ho, who confesses that she has been watching her friend's (Si-Yeol) teammate from the shadows.

The conversation in this episode of No Tail to Tell shows how the two women are making fun of one another and talking about falling in love. Yet, Eun-Ho has a very strong connection with Si-Yeol. Later, Eun-Ho's money issue is ultimately explained when Woo-Seok allows her to use his infinite credit card to pay for her transactions.

When Si-Yeol’s football team loses its main financial sponsor, the whole team is in jeopardy because the pullout wasn’t random. It was later revealed that Yoon purposely persuaded the sponsor to leave.

When Si-Yeol is returning a gift basket to the sponsor, he bumps into Yeon-Su. In a different timeline, she was on an excellent career path. Now, after taking time off for her husband and kids, she is working at a grocery store. Si-Yeol asks for her help and she agrees.

Meanwhile, Eun-Ho earns spiritual merit by secretly paying for the education of a struggling girl connected to Yoon’s past. Finally, the team gets a sponsor. However, it turns out that the company is under Yoon, which means he remains involved.

At the same time, Do-Cheol intensifies his dangerous pursuits. Using funds provided by Yoon, he purchases a cursed bell said to injure spirits. The seller immediately senses that Do-Cheol is nearing death and tormented by the souls of those he sacrificed in his quest for power.

Before episode 10 of No Tail to Tell ends, the shaman attacks Geum-Ho in her cave. When he rings the bell, she collapses, along with the spirits gathered around him, suggesting he has gained control over her.
