Ella Hunt as AJ Pascarelli

Ella Hunt stars in the ensemble as AJ Pascarelli in Not Suitable For Work, a cutthroat first-year analyst at one of New York's highest-ranking investment banks. AJ is the ultimate embodiment of the city’s grind culture; she’s driven, charming, and laser-focused on success, to the detriment of her waking life.

Hunt is best known to audiences for Anna and the Apocalypse and also starred in Dickinson, imbuing the character with both fragility and force.

Avantika as Abhinaya “Abby” Chilukuri

Avantika Vandanapu is Abby, a trend-conscious assistant to a top celebrity stylist. Her role: Navigating the glamorous but draining fashion industry, in which looks are as important as skills.

Avantika has previously worked within Kaling’s creative space on The Sex Lives of College Girls, as well as widening recognition in Mean Girls. Abby’s storyline will apparently deal with ambition, cultural identity, and just what it costs to chase influence.

Will Angus as Davis Beau Bradley Barrett III

Will Angus is cast as Davis, the high-octane “finance bro” with a frat-boy charm you can’t deny. Yet, behind the bravado, he yearns for something more real.

Angus, whose previous work includes The Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie, lends depth to a role that could have been easily reduced to caricature, making Davis both a comedic figure and emotionally sincere.

Jack Martin joins as Josh Teitelbaum

Jack Martin portrays Josh Teitelbaum, a native New Yorker with an acerbic wit and strong opinions. High-minded and at times self-righteous, Josh likes to think of himself as a good ‘real deal’ New Yorker who was born and bred right here at home. Martin also guest-starred in series such as The Rookie, La Brea, and All Rise.

Nicholas Duvernay as Kel Washington

Nicholas Duvernay completes the main cast as Kel Washington in Not Suitable For Work. Despite this elusive information pertaining to his role and character still being kept close to the chest, it is clear that Kel will add a new element to the blend of friends. Duvernay was previously seen in The White Lotus, making his casting in this ensemble all the more intriguing.

Also among the new faces are Constance Wu, Laura Bell Bundy, Harry Richardson, The Gilded Age fame, and Bhavesh Patel, seen in FBI: Most Wanted. Alongside them are Stella Everett, May Hong, Emilia Suárez, and Benjamin Washington.

Hailed for its sharp writing, culturally relevant storylines, and diverse cast, Not Suitable for Work is looking to be a great addition to Hulu’s lineup of comedies. From Mindy Kaling’s signature perspective, the show will offer a funny and penetrating take on ambition, identity, and the chaotic chase of success in New York City.
