The Hulu series Not Suitable for Work has officially come to an end, with its final two episodes releasing on June 23. Starring Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, and Jack Martin, the series has received 6.7 stars on IMDb.

In the Not Suitable for Work finale, we get to see most characters getting a fresh start as the New Year begins, but a few characters are left dealing with heartbreak. Abby comes to understand that she has feelings for Kel, and Davis and AJ share a moment following her split from Bill. However, the season does end on a bad note for Josh, who wanted to spend time with AJ on New Year's, only to see Davis and AJ together.

Not Suitable for Work Episode 9 recap: How does Josh help Wes in the finale?

Josh is all out helping his boss, Wes, who was left upset after being left out of the New Year's Eve line-up. Josh returns from his holidays, and after learning about the same, he decides to help him. He finds him a guest appearance on a popular show, Hannah Berger and Paige DeSorbo's show. Not only that, but Josh even helps him with the questions from behind the scenes through the teleprompter.

Not Suitable for Work Episode 9 recap: AJ and Davis grow closer

AJ finds out about the heated argument between Davis and Bill. Bill goes on a trip with Catherine, leaving AJ sad. She takes some time away from work to get through her feelings. Turns out, after learning about AJ's breakup and the treatment she received from Bill, Davis, who likes AJ, stood up for her in front of Bill. This leads to bad consequences for Davis, as he gets removed from his job.

After she comes to know that Davis stood up for her, AJ realizes that Davis cares for her so much. Josh decides to meet AJ to celebrate New Year's Eve after helping Wes, hoping to grow closer to her, and AJ is also waiting for Josh to arrive.

However, instead of Josh, she finds Davis at her doorstep, and after hearing from Davis that he didn't like Bill's behavior towards her and that was the reason behind his fight, she kisses him. While this hinted at a new beginning for AJ and Davis, Josh was left on the sidelines as he saw them sharing their romantic moment.

Not Suitable for Work ending explained: Do Abby and Kel become a couple?

After listening to AJ's input in Not Suitable for Work, Abby decides to make everything right between her and Kel. She even asks for forgiveness from him. Kel asks her to come to his new show's cast party. While she wanted to fix everything, she also heard from Vanessa, who offered her a job back.

Abby decides to attend the cast party only to see him with someone else. This leaves her upset and disappointed, knowing that she can't be together with him anymore. Kel is no longer teaching, but he still finds support from the girls, making it feel like a warm but emotional goodbye.

So what just happened? Kel assumes Abby isn't interested in him and moves on with a castmate. By the time Abby understands her feelings, it is already too late in the process.
