Off Campus creator Louisa Levy has cleared up the viral salary claims, adding that she is fighting for gender pay parity.

Released in May, the Prime Video series soon became a hit, earning 7.9 stars on IMDb from over forty thousand viewers. The series featured Ella Bright as Hannah Wells and Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham. Hannah was a schoolgirl who had a passion for writing songs, and Graham was a hockey player.

Alongside them, viewers see Mika Abdalla as Allie Hayes, best friend of Hannah, and Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis, a hockey player who falls for Allie. The series became popular on the platform, leading to its renewal. And the next season is expected to revolve around Allie and Dean's story.

Last month, the Instagram page of In The Vault uploaded a video revealing how much the actors got paid in the series. It also pointed out the difference between the actors' paychecks, mainly the leads'. However, according to a statement from Louisa Levy, the figures shared in the video were not accurate.

In the video uploaded by In The Vault, the host, Ali Rose Gray, stated that Cameli, who played Garrett Graham, was paid $260k for the season, and Josh Heuston, who played Justin Kohl, received approximately $200k for the season.

She added that Mika Abdalla was paid $160k for the season, and Stephen Kalyn received $120k for the season. The host then questioned Ella Bright's reported salary. She noted that though she played the main character in the series, she was paid $80k less than her male lead. According to her, Bright was paid $160k, the same as Mika Abdalla.

On July 10, Louisa Levy, the creator of Off Campus, commented on the same Instagram video, writing:

"Check your sources. These numbers are far from correct."

She added that while gender pay inequality remains an important issue in the industry, she personally fights for gender pay parity among her cast as a female showrunner. Her comment was praised by social media users for correcting the claims and supporting gender pay parity. However, In The Vault has not released a response regarding Levy's comments.

So, how much were the cast members paid? The actual numbers haven't been revealed by the cast or the production house yet, keeping it private and confidential. Its upcoming season will reportedly bring back the main cast, which includes Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Antonio Cipriano, according to Woman's World.

While no official release date has been announced by the production yet, considering the first season was released in May 2026, the upcoming season is expected to arrive around the same time next year.

The Off Campus season 1 ended on a happy note for Hannah and Garrett as they solved their differences and became one together. However, it ends on a twisty note for Allie and Dean, with Allie asking Dean to complete the assignment that they set, and the entry of Hunter leaves Allie shocked. The season ends with a fight between Dean and Hunter.

Off Campus is available to stream on Prime Video.
