It's clear that things aren't good between the two gangs, and everything changes after an unexpected death. Initially, it began as a fragile alliance that took little time in turning into a dangerous situation, with a single body threatening to expose secrets and spark serious consequences.
On the other side, Glenn Keenan is caught between fulfilling his duty as an FBI officer and the neighborhood where his roots still run deep. As for Bridget, her connection to an IRA contact adds to the mystery in the story.

The Westies premiere recap: A fragile alliance starts falling apart after one mistake
Right from the beginning of The Westies, the show makes it clear that surviving in Hell's Kitchen is not just about being strong. People must have the right connections and relationships if they wish to stay safe and alive.
Westies are known as a dangerous gang here, but they are still less powerful than the Italian Mafia. So, to avoid war between the two gangs, they share an uneasy agreement and try to stay out of each other's way.
However, this peace is soon disrupted after a badly planned kidnapping upsets the situation and puts Westies in serious trouble. It looked like a mistake that could be handled, but soon became much more serious because it involved people who had far more power than the Westies.
At the same time, there are problems inside the gang. Flanagan returns to Roarke's crew after being released from Bellevue, but instead of making things better, his return creates even more tension among the members. Trust is breaking between the two gangs, and it's the Westies who might suffer more if the situation escalates further.
The Westies premiere recap: A hidden body raises the stakes for everyone involved
The biggest moment arrives when Westies have to deal with the dead body of an Italian mobster. They knew that things could go incredibly wrong if the truth came out, so Roarke and his gang acted quickly to make sure no one could connect the killing to them.
Instead of revealing the truth, they secretly get rid of the body and create fake crime scenes to mislead others. The main reason behind this is the fear of the Italian Mafia, especially John Gotti.
They believe that if Gotti and other members come to know about the killing, they could face immediate consequences. This way, the cover-up becomes suspenseful and risky at the same time.
Keenan's divided loyalties and the growing IRA mystery
While the Westies are trying to hide the murder, the premiere also focuses on Glenn Keenan. After he joins the FBI task force, he struggles to balance his personal and professional duties.
He is asked to investigate Eamon Sweeney's links to the Mafia, even though he grew up in the same neighborhood and knows many of the people involved. Because of his past, every wrong move could ruin the friendships and connections Keenan has in the neighborhood.
On top of that, he has to investigate people who were once connected to him, which makes his job even more complicated. The show also follows Bridget and her connection to the IRA. She is given a risky mission by one of the group's contacts and later discovers more about Cahill's plan.
