On the October 9 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel reportedly took a dig at Donald Trump before the Nobel Peace Prize announcement, saying the president might not care about the prize, that someone would eventually win it, and that it wouldn't be him. The host further took a dig at Trump and said he had a strong year as he allegedly carried out an attack that killed 10 fishermen and one school.
Kimmel remarked,
"Well, you know what? I know you're sad about this, Donald. I know you're really good this year. I know you only bombed 10 fishermen and one school. And I know you don't care about the Nobel Prize, but somebody will get it. And you'll be mortified to know that that someone will not be you tomorrow."
According to Kimmel, Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney was the real Nobel Peace Prize candidate. He mocked the idea that it would be satisfying to see Carney win, because Carney's victory would upset Donald so much that he might even end up chewing on his golf clubs. Kimmel said,
"One of the actual candidates for the Nobel Prize is the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney. I would love to see him win just to drive Trump so nuts he eats his golf clubs this weekend."

Late-night comedy: Jimmy Kimmel mocked Donald Trump ahead of Nobel Peace Prize announcement
The Norwegian Nobel Committee in Oslo, Norway, is scheduled to announce the Nobel Peace Prize today. However, before the announcement, Jimmy Kimmel Live's host mocked Donald Trump for demanding the prize. Trump claimed that he should get the prize because he had settled 8 wars and explained that he brought back all the Israeli hostages from Hamas.
Kimmel played a clip where Trump said,
"Everybody said that I should immediately get the Nobel Peace Award. Where's my Nobel Peace Prize? They should give me the Nobel Prize. I ended eight wars."
Kimmel said mockingly that the president would be upset because he thought he had done well this year.
The host further added that Trump pretended not to care about the Nobel Peace Prize, but someone else would definitely win it, and Trump would be embarrassed to realize that it's not him. Kimmel explained that Trump's thinking could be understood from the fact that he expected to receive a Nobel Peace Prize only seven months after starting an allegedly unjustified war.
Why did Kimmel take a dig at Trump for allegedly bombing 10 fishermen?
One year ago, the United States carried out an airstrike on a small boat in the Caribbean and killed 9 people on board. According to Democracy Now, two survivors held onto the wreckage for about 45 minutes and reportedly signaled for help before a second strike killed them as well.
Donald Trump shared a video of the first attack on social media and declared that 11 terrorists had been eliminated in what was named Operation Southern Spear. The second video, which showed the killing of the survivors, had never been released.
Over the past year, similar bombings had continued, with nearly 70 separate strikes that killed at least 227 people. The Pentagon often claimed that the targeted boats were involved in narcotrafficking. However, Al Jazeera reported that fisherman Joseph William went out to sea with Ricky Joseph, and neither returned. Since that day, Rayshawn Charlery has been unable to reach his father, Joseph William.
