The closing scenes of the Outer Banks Season 5 finale offer viewers a glimpse of John B and Sarah's wedding. As John B prepares for the ceremony, Pope finds his missing wedding ring. He hypes him up and asks him not to be nervous. The two share a warm hug. The scene transitions into John B's monologue

"We had gotten everything that we ever wanted and all the things we've gone through, all the times spent searching, all the hardships, all the mistakes, and the one big loss. "

As the Weather Report track by The Tennors plays in the background, Sarah and John B exchange vows and get married in the presence of their friends and families, who get emotional. John B's monologue ends with him saying,

"Maybe it didn't make it worth it, but finally for once we'd got a win. Us. The Pogues. And one win we weren't greedy. That was enough for us. One win. That was enough to last the whole life."

John B reflects that, as Pogues, their mission in life has always been to have a good time. He adds that although they went around the world looking for treasures, in the end they ultimately found everything in the place where their journey began, the Outer Banks, which he calls Paradise on Earth.

As the credits roll on the side of the screen, a montage of Sarah and John B's wedding pictures and videos rolls up on the left screen. The viewers also get a sneak peek into their reception with a Twinkie-shaped cake. Rafe also seems to have joined the celebrations via a video call.

The post-credit scene does not contain a bonus video or something that teases their next adventure. Instead, it features a title card which says, P4L. For many, this might be a simple title card, but OG viewers are aware that this is a callback to the show's popular tagline, 'Pogues 4 Life'.

Even though the series is wrapping up after five seasons, a sequel called Kildare is in development. In an interview with Deadline, the creators of the show have teased the prequel. It is set twenty years before the events of Outer Banks and will follow the origin of the social divide between the Kooks and Pogues.
