Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 brings a devastating truth for Julia - Episode 2 recap ahead

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2 is titled The Veil of Time and was released on Starz on September 25.

The latest episode of the Outlander prequel revealed a devastating truth about Julia when she met with the seer Maisri. While Henry remained bound in the Inverness asylum in 1924, longing to reunite with his wife and son, Julia faced the devastating possibility that she might never make it back to her own time.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2 also provided a brief glimpse of a young Claire. According to Filmi Feed, it was revealed that while Claire was preparing to leave with her Uncle Lamb for the Middle East, she longed to reunite with her parents and often asked him about them. Lamb kept tabs on Henry and Julia's whereabouts but he was starting to lose hope.

One of the highlights of Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2 was Julia's conversation with the seer. While Lord Lovat was away, Julia brought Maisri into the castle under the pretense of blessing the house and William. In private, Julia asked Maisri the truth about the stones and why she could not pass through with Henry. According to Filmi Feed, Maisri revealed a devastating truth to Julia. She does not possess the ability to time travel through the stones. While the series did not offer more explanation, it is likely that Julia was able to time travel because of Henry.

Things took a turn when Lord Lovat arrived sooner than expected. However, he was distracted when Maisri prophesied that his son would be connected to the Crown. Before leaving, Maisri offered another prophecy for Julia's daughter, Claire. The seer said that the little girl with dark curls is being protected by a father’s heart. Julia interpreted Maisri's prophecy as Henry's reunion with Claire, unaware that the father's heart actually refers to Uncle Lamb.

While Julia learned the devastating truth from Maisri in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2, Henry found hope in Mrs. Graham in 1924. Mrs. Graham spent time with Henry, explaining the lore behind the magical stones. She revealed that while old stories consider love and intention as important factors for travelers, Samhain is an important day when the veil between the two worlds is thinnest.

After sharing her knowledge about rituals and gemstones, Mrs. Graham also did a tea-leaf reading for Henry. The reading revealed a mystical journey connected through a circle, which she interpreted as a possibility of returning to Julia and William in 1715.

Later, on Samhain, Mrs. Graham did the ultimate good deed. She offered Henry a disguise, a sharp gemstone to travel through the stone and a way to return to Julia. While Julia believes her husband had found his way to Claire, he will likely try to return to the past.

Ellen made a deal with Colum in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2

Clan Mackenzie was seen at a crossroads in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2. While Dougal wanted to fight for the Jacobite cause, Colum feared it would cost them their home. To solve the issue, Ellen suggested taking control of Castle Leoch. As an unmarried woman, her ownership would protect the MacKenzie home, even if the Jacobite rebellion failed. Once Ned Gowan agreed that the ownership could hold legally, Colum reluctantly agreed but on one condition. He demanded that Ellen remain unmarried while the MacKenzie land was hers. If she decided to take a husband, the land would return to Colum.

While Ellen painfully accepted Colum's offer in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2, Brian convinced Fraser men to fight for the Jacobite cause.

During Samhain, Brian and Murtagh arrived at Castle Leoch. While the duo was naturally not welcomed by Ellen's brothers, the atmosphere shifted when Brian promised 100 Fraser men to Dougal for the Jacobite cause.

In the final moments, Brian managed to meet up with Ellen in private, where she revealed the terms of her new deal with Colum, which would require them to stay separate. While Brian offered his help, Ellen revealed that she would not back down from her word, creating the biggest obstacle for the couple in the upcoming episode.
