Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 cast: Meet the returning Frasers and Beauchamps

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 is set to premiere on Starz on September 18. The upcoming season marks the second entry of the platform's historical romance drama, which also serves as a prequel spin-off to Outlander. While Outlander wrapped with its successful eight-season run in May 2026, the prequel series will continue Diana Gabaldon's fantastical saga on the small screen.

The first trailer for Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 gives an exciting sneak peek and what the second season has in store for the returning Frasers and Beauchamps. While Brian and Ellen were secretly married in the Season 1 finale, the 1715 Jacobite Uprising will tear them apart yet again, forcing the young couple to return to their respective clans. Meanwhile, Claire's parents will face yet another separation after their time-traveling plans go awry.

The primary additions to the returning Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 cast are Claire and Jamie's parents, namely Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) & Julia Beauchamp (Hermione Corfield) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) & Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), respectively.

Jeremy Irvine, Hermione Corfield, Jamie Roy and Harriet Slater are the new faces in the Outlander franchise, who were introduced in Season 1 as Claire and Jamie's parents. The stars managed to impress seasoned Outlander fans with their impressive performance and it's time for them to return and continue their respective love stories across two time periods.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 is going to be a bumpy ride for both couples of the show. While Julia and Henry will be separated yet again after a time-traveling mishap, Ellen and Brian will reluctantly part ways when the clans are called to war for the 1715 Jacobite Rising. Like the debut season, separation is a major theme in the sophomore season. The young lovers will have to navigate war, politics and time travel to find their way back to each other.

In addition to Jamie and Claire's parents, Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 will mark the return of the spin-off's supporting cast, which is as follows:

1) Tony Curran as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat: Brian's calculating father will return in the upcoming season and will gear up for the impending war, with his son and Murtagh by his side. It seems Julia will be forced to return to Castle Leathers, at the mercy of Lord Lovat, yet again.

2) Séamus McLean Ross as Colum MacKenzie and Sam Retford as Dougal MacKenzie: Ellen's brothers are the returning additions to the Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 cast. After their father's death, Colum and Dougal will be left to make choices for their Clan Fraser in the upcoming war. The upcoming season will likely explore their tense relationship, as seen in the parent series.

3) Rory Alexander as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser: One of the most beloved characters from the parent series, Alexander's Murtagh will also return in the sophomore season and will fight in the war, alongside his cousin, Brian.

Rounding out the cast for Season 2 are stars Conor MacNeill as Ned Gowan, secretary at Castle Leoch, Sara Vickers as Davina Porter, a housekeeper at Castle Leathers & Brian Fraser's mother, Sally Messham as Mrs Fitzgibbons, Sadhbh Malin as Jocasta MacKenzie Cameron, Ailsa Davidson as Janet MacKenzie and Bobby Rainsbury as Maura Grant.
