Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premiere recap: Henry found himself in 1924

Once Henry realized he had arrived in 1924 in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2, the premiere peeled back the layers on his separation from Julia in the Season 1 finale. It turns out that while Henry planned to send Julia and the baby to their time, Arch Bug and his men took hold of the couple. During their confrontation, Henry traveled to 1924 via the Craigh Na Dun stones but Julia and William were left in the past.
In 1924, Henry found himself at Inverness Lunatic Asylum, with Dr. Perryman questioning him about his identity and his claims that he belonged to 1715. While Henry consistently repeated his account of his time in 1715 with Julia, the Grants, Arch Bug and his son, Dr. Perryman believed them to be an extension of his experiences during the First World War and wrote it off as a brutal instance of PTSD.
Julia returned to Castle Leathers in Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 1
Elsewhere, Julia had no option but to return to Castle Leathers in the Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premiere. She framed Henry as an unstable Grant man who took her and Lord Lovat's baby hostage and thus was happily accepted into the Fraser home. After settling, Julia confided in Davina and revealed the truth behind her (and Henry's) time-traveling adventure.
While Julia initially suspected Davina would not believe her story, Davina said she trusted her. Brian’s mother believed Julia was unlike the women of her time, making her story all the more believable.
Julia's conversation with Davina gave her a way to reunite with Henry: Maisri, the seer. Driven to uncover why the stones took Henry alone, Julia decided to secretly meet Maisri and find answers.

While she advised Brian to return to Castle Leathers and help the Frasers fight in the impending War, she voluntarily gave herself up to the MacKenzie search party. Brian and Ellen were separated yet again but their love was stronger than ever.
As Brian returned to the Frasers, Ellen was banished to the chapel by an angry Colum. However, she urged her furious brother that she had returned for a reason.
How did the Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premiere end?

The final moments of the Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premiere checked in with Henry again. Dr. Perryman's electrical treatment took a toll and Henry started having doubts about his experiences in 1715 and his memories of Julia and William. Henry reached a breaking point as memories of Julia started slipping from his mind and he believed that he was delusional.
Just when Henry questioned himself, Reverend Wakefield visited the asylum and took note of his fragmented memories. Wakefield later discussed Henry's strange story with his housekeeper, Mrs. Graham.
The final moments of the Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 premiere saw Mrs. Graham visiting Henry in the asylum and offering him something he desperately needed. Mrs. Graham said she believed Henry's story about the Craigh Na Dun and time travel, offering him a ray of hope.
