Paradise Season 2 Episode 8 recap: Exodus
The finale of Paradise Season 2, i.e., Episode 8, has all of the characters face crisis mode right from the very get-go.

Xavier is heading back to the bunker with Teri after finally finding her, but he’s not alone anymore. There’s a baby too, plus a rebel group that is being led by Link, who is chasing his own mission connected to Alex.
Inside the bunker, things are already not looking too good. A combination of internal sabotage and system failure pushes the place toward a nuclear disaster. There's the oxygen system that fails, lockdown protocols that are clashing, and the entire structure has now started to break down.
At the same time, Presley and Hadley also get stuck in an elevator in the finale of Paradise Season 2
Then we get to the flashback scene. Henry Miller created Alex as an advanced system that could predict outcomes. But it didn’t stop there. It could also influence events before they happened. That’s where the strange visions and nosebleeds Xavier has been experiencing start to make sense.
Back in the present timeline, Link marches into the bunker with force, determined to reach Alex. Meanwhile, Xavier and Teri try to save their children while everything around them is falling apart drastically. For now, evacuation becomes the only option left.
Sinatra, on the other hand, starts to think of decisions that would require her to sacrifice herself. She chooses to lock herself inside to contain the damage and save everyone else.
By the end, the bunker is gone, survivors are outside (except Sinatra, who has now died), and Xavier is left with one clear direction. There is another facility connected to Alex, and he’s the one meant to reach it.
Paradise Season 2 Episode 8 cast and characters: Here's who brought the Hulu post-apocalyptic political thriller to life
1) Sterling K. Brown As Xavier Collins
Xavier is a former Secret Service agent. While his initial motivation was simply reuniting his family, the finale of Paradise Season 2 reveals that he is a "nexus" point for the timeline.

He experiences temporal anomalies (the nosebleeds and premonitions) because he is the designated user for Alex. By the end of Episode 8, he is tasked with a mission: travel to a secondary bunker beneath the Denver airport to use the quantum computer to fix the broken world.
Sterling K. Brown is also known for: This Is Us & American Fiction.
2) Julianne Nicholson As Sinatra
As the formidable leader of the bunker, Sinatra started off as a cold and controlling character but ended the season as a tragic hero. She is the bridge between the old world (the creation of the AI) and the current survivalist reality.

In the finale of Paradise Season 2, she chooses self-sacrifice, remaining behind in the bunker to manually seal the doors from the inside. This act contains a nuclear meltdown and saves the surface survivors. She dies believing that Link is the reincarnation or adult version of her lost son, Dylan.
Julianne Nicholson is also known for: Mare of Easttown & The Red Road.
3) Thomas Doherty As Link
Originally introduced as a revolutionary leader intent on destroying the bunker, Link is revealed to be Dylan, Sinatra’s son, and a former child prodigy who helped develop Alex.

He represents the "bridge" between the two timelines. He is currently dealing with his identity and the responsibility of a newborn daughter (Annie’s baby). His being present in the current timeline is considered an "anomaly" by Alex, suggesting his existence might be a result of time manipulation.
Thomas Doherty is also known for: Descendants 2 & The Invitation.
4) Enuka Okuma as Teri Rogers-Collins
Xavier’s wife, who was presumed lost but was actually surviving for three years. She cared for a young boy named Bean, and now, along with her family, transitions from life in the bunker to life in the encampment.

Enuka Okuma is also known for: Rookie Blue & Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye.
5) Sarah Shahi as Dr. Gabriela Torabi
The bunker’s physician and Xavier’s former therapist. While she has a complicated history with Xavier, her main goal in the finale of Paradise Season 2 is to deal with the evacuation of the bunker and attempt (unsuccessfully) to eliminate the threat of Jane.

Sarah Shahi is also known for: S*x/Life & Person of Interest.
6) Aliyah Mastin as Presley Collins & Kate Godfrey as Hadley
Presley (Xavier’s daughter) and Hadley (Sinatra’s daughter) are the 2 kids whose lives are at stake. They're both trapped in an elevator in the finale of Paradise Season 2, and this forces Xavier and Link to cooperate with each other.

Aliyah Mastin is also known for: Honey Girls & Broadway Kids Against Bullying: I Have a Voice
Kate Godfrey is also known for: All That & Warped!
7) Patrick Fischler as Henry Miller
Seen in a flashback, Henry was the genius scientist who built Alex. He provides the necessary exposition for all of the science on the show, and he also explains how the computer started "manipulating time" on its own.

His death at Sinatra’s hands years prior is what allowed her to seize control of the project.
Patrick Fischler is also known for: NCIS: Origins & The Pact II.
Paradise Season 2 Episode 8 is packed with so much going on all at once, but the cast members tie every storyline well together.
By the end, the story makes it clear who will lead that next phase and closes with answers, but more importantly, it also sets up the people who will be at the forefront of whatever comes next in Season 3.
