Park Bo Gum and Ko Kyung Pyo are finally reuniting for The Village Barber Season 2

Fans of Park Bo-gum must be excited for the actor's return in The Village Barber Season 2 on tvN. And to make the show even better, the makers have decided to bring Ko Kyung-pyo as the new cast member.

Yes, you read that right! This means that the former co-stars of one of the best K-dramas ever, Reply 1988, will reunite in the upcoming chapter of the reality TV series. While Ko is the newest cast member, Lee Sang-yi will also come back alongside Park, while Kwak Dong-yeon has stepped away from the show.

The two stars are already great friends, and the addition of Ko in The Village Barber Season 2 promises more engaging and fun conversations. The show mainly focuses on the cast members operating a countryside barbershop while connecting with residents through everyday acts of service.

Interestingly, Park Bo-gum earned his national barber license during his mandatory military service in 2022 and trained himself further. He can even do women's haircuts and hairdressing. After he steps into The Village Barber, he expresses his desire to use his skills, especially for elderly people.

This means that fans will get the iconic trio of Park Bo-gum, Lee Sang-yi, and Ko Kyung-pyo. Park and Ko have worked together on Reply 1988, Naeil's Cantabile (Tomorrow's Cantabile), and films including The Admiral: Roaring Currents and Coin Locker Girl.

And since they're real-life friends as well, fans are super excited to see their natural friendship on screen. As of now, an exact release date for The Village Barber Season 2 hasn't been shared, but we do know that it's arriving in November 2026.

They are tasked with helping residents, completing everyday tasks such as cutting hair, cooking, and cleaning. Not only this, but they must ensure to make meaningful and warm interactions with the community to make them feel comfortable.

The familiar "healing" and light atmosphere will remain a key part of Season 2, but fans can also expect new locations or other small changes. Since there's no fixed plot in this show, viewers will get to see real conversations between the cast and residents.

Additionally, there might be celebrity part-timers or visitors in Season 2 to provide fan-service moments. Earlier in Season 1, celebrities like Rain, Park Hae-joon, Choi Dae-hoon, Kim So-hyun, and more appeared as visitors to add to the show's cozy vibe.
