Phantom Lawyer Episode 8 recap: Na-hyeon learns about Yi-rang's new ghost client, and it's not what she expected

The previous episode of Phantom Lawyer ended with a shocking cliffhanger, which the latest episode cleared up. The new ghost visiting Yi-rang is Na-hyeon's sister, So-hyun, but she is different from the other ghosts as she wasn't floating in the air like the previous ones.

From the beginning, So-hyun shows her passion for justice, as she doesn't hesitate to go and save a high school boy from being bullied. However, this also brings more trouble for Yi-rang as he is blamed for beating up the bullies.

Later, with the help of Na-hyeon and Bong-su, Yi-rang tries to uncover the truth about the bullied high school boy and save Yi-rang's career. Furthermore, Na-hyeon also realises Yi-rang can see ghosts, and this time it's her sister.

Phantom Lawyer Episode 8 recap: Na-hyeon agrees to take Yi-rang's case

At the end of Phantom Lawyer's previous Episode, Yi-rang realises that the new ghost is none other than Na-hyeon's sister, So-hyun. But before he can say anything, So-hyun runs out to save a boy from being bullied by his classmates in the latest episode.

However, So-hyun's anger brings more problems for Yi-rang as she possesses him and beats the high-school bullies. This gets him arrested. In prison, he reveals So-hyun's name and birth date so she can recall her memories. She asks him if her sister became a singer, but before he could tell the truth, Na-hyeon arrives, and So-hyun realises her sister is now a lawyer and not a singer.

Na-hyeon tells Yi-rang that she took over his case because of his brother-in-law and that the only way to get out of this without hampering his career is to agree to settle the case with the students' parents. Her attitude angers So-hyun again, and she possesses Yi-rang once more to scold her younger sister. While Na-hyeon is annoyed with Yi-rang's sudden behavioural change, she also notices something familiar but ignores it.

Later, in Episode 8 of Phantom Lawyer, So-hyun visits her parents and realises that her family is not as close as it used to be when she was alive. Yi-rang tells her that after losing her, they all might have wanted to cope with the grief on their own, and that might be the reason for them growing apart.

She then asks him what she can do to help him, as he was in trouble because of her. Yi-rang instructs her to follow the bullied high school boy to find out why he was hiding the fact that he was being bullied. While doing so, she learns that he was about to take a drastic step and try to kill his bullies. She again possesses Yi-rang to confront the boy and persuade him to change his decision. All while Na-hyeon watches from afar, and again she notices the familiar behavioural change in Yi-rang.

Later, they begin to follow the bullies to get a hold of their phones, where they have recorded a video of the high school boy and were blackmailing him. However, their plan fails, but it is the boy himself who manages to confront his bully and snatch the phone on which the video still existed.

Phantom Lawyer Episode 8 recap: Na-hyeon learns that Yi-rang is being possessed by her deceased sister

While Yi-rang and the other were trying to help the bullied kid in Episode 8 of Phantom Lawyer, Do-kyung had his own plan to destroy Yi-rang once and for all. He is the attorney hired by the bullies' parents and asks them to throw away their phones, where they recorded the questionable video.

He also sets the settlement amount to a huge 150 million won, which won't be easy for Yi-rang's family to pay. However, because Na-hyeon finds the evidence in time, she stops Yi-rang's mother from signing the settlement agreement and gets the bullies arrested.

She then confronts Do-kyung, who tells her that Yi-rang is dangerous due to his ability to see ghosts and that she should stay away from him. This gets her thinking about how Yi-rang has been behaving with her recently and how it reminded her of her sister. Therefore, to check whether So-hyun was possessing him, she takes him to the theme park, which she used to visit with her sister.

So-hyun ends up possessing Yi-rang again and tells Na-hyeon that they should take the last seats in the ride like they always did, making Na-hyeon realise it was indeed her sister possessing Yi-rang.
