In the latest update about season 2 of Pluribus, as of now, Rhea Seehorn revealed to Variety that a writers' room was already being set up for it.

Pluribus Episode 8 was also recently released, and if you have watched the latest episode of the show, you might have noticed that the world of this story just got expanded. If you haven't noticed, we will direct you right there in a few seconds.

As of this writing, eight episodes of the show are up and running on the streaming platform Apple TV+. The next and final episode of the season will drop just a day before Christmas, which is December 24, 2025.

In the latest episode, Carol (Rhea Seehorn) and Zosia (Karolina Wydra) are stargazing, and while they are doing that, the latter tells the former something that literally blows her mind. And we are sure that it will blow your mind away, too. Especially because it might just have set up Pluribus Season 2 already.

Zosia tells that there might be others "Out there" in Pluribus Episode 8

There's a sequence in the latest episode of the show when both characters are enjoying a stargazing session. There's too much light pollution there, so Zosia communicates with the 'hive mind' and turns off all the lights there are in the region.

It helps Carol to see the stars more clearly. However, as they are enjoying this session, which is kind of romantic, and the red lights brightening the place they are at add more strength to it, Carol gets to know about "Kepler-22b," a name the 'hive mind' has given to the planet that is the source of the virus that made 'the Joining' possible in the first place.

Zosia tells Carol about what 'they' think of whoever has sent the virus and that they want to share this gift, which is a reference to 'the Joining,' with the "others" out there.

This is new information for Carol, as up until this point in Pluribus, it wasn't really discussed if more life like Earth existed in the vast universe. Though this shouldn't come as a surprise, because if there is someone out there sending a virus on Earth, there ought to be others.

What does this mean for the future of Pluribus?

Now that we know that there's more life in the vast universe, chances are that the show is likely to expand this to a whole new level in the future. There's only one episode of the season remaining, and it is unlikely that we will see Carol going on a space exploration. So, expect that in Season 2.

We can also expect that we'll learn more about this virus, which is likely to stay. Carol can not find the cure in just one remaining episode. There ought to be more to this story, which we'll hopefully see advancing in the next season of Pluribus.

And we must not find Manousos, who is still on his journey to meet Carol and has traveled far, just to land in a hospital (whose bill he has paid, by the way, like a responsible citizen).
