Positively Yours Episode 5 recap: Jeong-eum’s sabotaging measures bring a turn of events for Doo-joon and Hee-won

Positively Yours Episode 5 is all about the steady growth in Hee-won and Doo-joon’s relationship, with Doo-joon’s emotions often creating hilarious situations between the two of them. There is also a significant focus on Doo-joon’s sister-in-law, creating troubles for Doo-joon, which puts Doo-joon in a difficult situation, raising the level of depth to the storyline.

It cannot be denied that after the cliffhanger with which the fourth episode of Positively Yours left, the eagerness for this episode has been quite high, and the storyline truly delivers on the promise. Each episode raises the level of depth and intertwining storylines that the series comes with.

Jeong-eum’s sabotaging measures bring a turn of events for Doo-joon and Hee-won in Positively Yours Episode 5

The fifth episode of Positively Yours starts with Hee-won getting completely shocked at Doo-joon's confession. Doo-joon’s confession in front of Min-wook undeniably created an awkward situation between the three of them. Hee-won then takes Doo-joon to a park to continue with the discussion. Doo-joon continues to tell Hee-won about his growing fondness for her.

However, Hee-won tells Doo-joon that their relationship will not work. She then runs away. The next day, Hee-won Doo-joon worries about his actions. He did not expect that he would be getting rejected right away. On the other hand, Hee-won’s mother finds the message she sent her daughter. She begins to regret her actions. She tries to send Hee-won a message.

In the end, she does not send the message. Reaching their office, both Hee-won and Doo-joon feel awkward facing each other. Hee-won keeps running away every time she comes across Doo-joon. Watching Hee-won trying to avoid him, Doo-joon finally confronts Hee-won about it. However, instead of replying, she runs away once again. Min-wook understands that Hee-won is facing some difficulties. She decides to speak to her about it. It can be understood that his feelings towards her are getting stronger.

As this episode of Positively Yours continues, Doo-joon’s sister-in-law, Jeong-eum, plans ways to bring Doo-joon down. She wants him to become the target of everyone’s anger. She plans to use a scandal involving a model to make Doo-joon responsible for using her for the campaign of their company. After the news about the scandal breaks out, the company begins to face immense losses.

Doo-joon, instead of worrying, decides to find a new model to start a campaign so that the reputation of their company can be protected. However, finding a model within such a short period of time is not an easy task. Hee-won’s team begins to brainstorm to find a new model that would fit the ideals of their company and would be able to control the damage.

Hearing the description of the type of model that the company is searching for, Hee-won suggests that Doo-joon should do the modelling, as he fits the description perfectly. When Doo-joon’s assistant comes with the proposition of the team asking Doo-joon to become the model, he gets extremely angry.

However, the moment he finds that Hee-won suggested him as the model, his mood changes completely. He calls Hee-won to his office and tells her that the only way he will model for the company is if she accepts one of his demands.

As this episode of Positively Yours continues, Doo-joon starts the filming of the modeling campaign. However, his robotic body language makes the director frustrated. Hee-won decides to step up to help Doo-joon so that the filming process can progress smoothly. Hee-won shows Doo-joon the steps for doing the shoot. This makes Doo-joon comfortable, eventually leading to the filming ending successfully.

Doo-joon’s advertisement ends up becoming a massive success, with people completely enamored by his looks. Hee-won and Doo-joon both receive a photo from Doo-joon’s assistant where the two of them are standing and laughing with each other. Both of them have a positive reaction to watching the photo. It can be understood that Hee-won’s feelings towards Doo-joon are growing.

Doo-joon’s sister-in-law, after finding out that the new ad campaign with Doo-joon became a success, gets extremely frustrated. Jeong-eum did not expect that her plan to sabotage Doo-joon would fail miserably. While getting lemon tea, Hee-won comes across Doo-joon. However, the reaction Doo-joon is getting from the women at the cafe makes her jealous.

It is then revealed that Doo-joon accepted to do the ad campaign only because Hee-won accepted Doo-joon’s demand to go to her next ultrasound appointment. Doo-joon is also extremely happy that Hee-won is jealous of the other women’s reaction towards him.

As this episode of Positively Yours progresses, Hee-won begins to worry about others when they find out about her pregnancy. She discusses her worries with Min-wook and Mi-ran. From the beginning of the series, Mi-ran’s feelings towards Min-wook were evident. In this episode, Mi-ran, watching Min-wook’s growing concern towards Hee-won, understands that he has feelings for her.

She tells Min-wook that he should think about whether his feelings towards Hee-won are those of love or just friendship. Min-wook begins to ponder the words that Mi-ran said to him. A flashback scene shows Hee-won protecting Min-wook from his classmate, showing a backdrop of their friendship. At the end of this episode in Positively Yours, Min-wook understands that his feelings towards Hee-won are those of love indeed.

Doo-joon’s sister-in-law visits Doo-joon to speak about the success of the ad campaign. However, hearing her speak about his brother once again causes Doo-joon to have a panic attack. His hands begin to shake. It makes him unable to focus on his work. At the very end of this episode, Doo-joon has a massive panic attack inside the elevator. Right then, Hee-won arrives, giving him the care he needed at that moment.

The manner in which Hee-won finds Doo-joon at the end of this episode of Positively Yours makes it can be expected that the next episodes of this series will focus more on Hee-won finding out about Doo-joon’s backstory. For now, Hee-won thinks that Doo-joon is just a rich heir without any difficulties in his life.

After she finds out about Doo-joon’s emotional turmoil about blaming himself for his brother’s death, there is a possibility that it might bring the two of them closer. The steady growth in Hee-won and Doo-joon’s dynamic in this series is brought forth with authenticity. Their growth in their relationship is not rushed, making the viewers completely hooked on the storyline.
