tvN's K-drama, Pro Bono, has quickly become one of the most popular K-dramas of December 2025 because all the previous episodes have showcased perfectly blended stories with comedy and emotional depth. In addition, the K-drama is also gradually revealing why and who is responsible for David's downfall.

Episode 5 of Pro Bono will premiere on December 20, 2025. It will air at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN and will also be available to watch on Netflix for the global audience.

Pro Bono Episode 5: Release date news, time, and streaming details

Pro Bono Episode 5 will be released on Saturday, December 20, 2025. It will air on tvN at 9:20 KST in South Korea. The episode will also drop on TVING simultaneously.

For other regions, the episode release time will vary due to different time zones. For instance, in India, the episode drops around 8:30 p.m. IST, and in the US, it might be available to watch around 7 a.m. PT and 10 a.m. ET.

What happened in Pro Bono Episode 4?

In Episode 4 of the legal K-drama, Gang-hun's case takes an unexpected emotional turn. After being dismissed by the lawyer, David goes to appellate court to claim damages from the Woongsan Charitable Foundation. However, Myeong-hun tries to twist the case and calls Gang-hun's mother for questioning.

He puts all the blame on her for not raising Gang-hun in better conditions and compares her to other mothers of children with special needs, which almost drives her to take her own life, but she is saved by her son and the Pro Bono team. David retaliates by asking the judge and Myeong-hun to conduct an on-site inspection and experience Gang-hun's life for a day.

While initially they pretend that it isn't as difficult, the judge eventually realizes how difficult Gnag-hun's life is. Later, David also asks to question Chairman Choi, to which the Judge agrees. However, as Chairman Choi comes to the court, Gang-hun asks to question him.

He tells him how his small mistake made his classmates and even his teacher complain about him, due to which he stopped going to school. He told the Chairman that he wants to go to school for children like him, but it is too far away from his home, and it would be difficult for him to attend.

Gang-hun and his mother's struggle changes the Chairman's heart, and he finally reveals that he is one of his friends from the online Go game, where he is trying to defeat Gang-hun. He then proceeds to announce that he wants to adopt Gang-hun's mother, who is the same age as his son, and give the mother-son duo a better life.

The case ends on a hopeful note for Gang-hun. However, for David, the episode also reveals some shocking details as he learns that his former boss might be involved in sabotaging his career. More about it will be revealed in the upcoming episode 5 of the K-drama with another intriguing case for the team.
