Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 titled "Plum Out of Luck" was released on Prime Video on September 2.

The latest episode of the platform's crime-action series picked up from the previous episode's events. Lila and Amisha were holding Jacob hostage in the diner, and Reacher finally came face-to-face with the woman who had fooled him from the beginning. Lila demanded that Reacher turn in the USB drive in exchange for Jacob, creating tension in the diner.

While Reacher's crew was determined to rescue Jacob in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6, they could not surrender the drive to Lila.

What happened to Jacob? Was Lila successful in getting the drive?

Here is the complete recap.

Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 recap: Lila and Amisha are on the run with the drive

Plum got the short end of the stick in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6. The verbal spat between Reacher and Lila took a harrowing turn when soldiers (likely working for the CIA) ambushed the scene with shots and smoke grenades. Plum, who walked right in the middle of the intense scene, took a bullet to his chest and was profusely bleeding. Naturally, a brutal fight erupted between Reacher's crew and the CIA soldiers, which benefited both Amisha and Lila, as they fled with the USB drive.

On the other hand, Reacher and crew managed to outsmart their attackers but were left with an injured Plum. While Reacher suggested leaving Plum behind, Jacob felt guilty and wanted to accompany him to the hospital personally. Before regrouping, Plum left Reacher with a single word: Ahlquist.

Tamara and Reacher bonded before trouble found them in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6

Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 presented a new problem for Tamara and Reacher when they realized their faces had been plastered on every billboard in the city. However, the duo was determined to crack Plum's clue. A quick Google search revealed that Plum was referring to Leo Ahlquist of Plutus Chemicals, a company based in Dover that makes pesticides. While Reacher and Tamara could not understand how Leo was important to their case, they decided to chase this lead and headed to Dover.

The duo conveniently hid in the luggage section of a bus headed to Dover in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6, which was a bad idea since Tamara was claustrophobic. This led to a bonding moment between Reacher and Tamara as the former tried to take her mind off their tight situation (pun intended). Tamara revealed how she arrested a sexual assaulter, whose parents had connections to the Mayor, against the orders of her higher-ups. Naturally, Tamara's rebellious action was not appreciated, and she was demoted to menial street work, which made her uninterested in actual work until Anna's case.

Reacher and Tamara finally reached Plutus Chemicals in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 and came face-to-face with Leo, who was in the middle of destroying discs. Reacher threatened to kill Leo when he refused to reveal his connection to Sampson and Putra, but the duo was ambushed by Vance and his goons. The final moments of the episode saw Leo walking away, while Reacher and Tamara were overpowered by Vance and his men, who threw them in the back of a truck and drove them out of the city and into the woods.

Meanwhile, Jacob also ran into trouble while dropping Plum off at the hospital in Reacher Season 4 Episode 6. Jacob managed to evade the cops and called his Uncle Monty for help. While Monty advised Jacob to turn himself in and assured him that he would get him out, Jacob tried to convince him that the cops and the CIA could not be trusted.

Eventually, Monty agreed to hear Jacob out in person, which was a trap, as he brought Philly PD with him. Turns out, Monty had cut a deal with the chief of Philly PD to keep Jacob off the streets and target Reacher, the real threat. However, Monty soon realized that he had made a huge mistake when Docherty treated Jacob brutally. Jacob discovered that Docherty was also a pawn in the game when they passed the police station, and it was confirmed that he was going to kill him. While Jacob tried to convince Docherty not to take any extreme steps, and it looked like the latter was reconsidering his decision, it remains to be seen how Jacob will get out of this pickle.

Reacher Season 4 Episode 6 ended with Vance and his men holding Reacher and Tamara at gunpoint in the middle of nowhere. While it looked like the end for our protagonist, he will surely have a trick up his sleeve and escape this ordeal with Tamara.
