Reacher Season 4 returned to our screens this week with the fourth episode, "Karambits and Pieces". This season has been pretty fast as it reveals the big bad of the entire chapter. This shocking revelation arrives in the third act of the episode, and it changes the course of the entire season.The 43-minute-long episode is an important entry as it marks the turning point for the entire season. A distraught Sampson has a drink with Reacher in a bar, where he reveals his past in Indonesia.Turns out Cahill was Sampson's commanding officer during the Indonesian tour. Turns out, the Congressman was one of the US troops training the Indonesian dictator and his soldiers. The drive that Anna supposedly carried contained information about Sampson and his team's misdeeds on Indonesian soil.If the information were to get out, it could entirely derail Sampson's political career. Thus, Sampson requests that Reacher hand over the files if the latter were to find the drive. Reacher, on the other hand, says that he will first go through the files and decide what to do with them.Then, the scene cuts to Tamara, Jacob, and Russell Plum monitoring a building where Anna worked. Last week's Reacher Season 4 episode revealed that Anna had high clearance to digitize documents and incinerate their physical copies. Thus, Tamara breaks into the building.This heist is seemingly successful, as Tamara steals a badge and enters the building. But she is discovered as soon as she runs out of the building, and Jacob manages to drive her, himself, and Russell away. The three are driving towards Philadelphia when they are stuck in traffic.While in traffic, Tamara informs Reacher over the phone about discovering a file that Anna had digitised but deleted from the database. As that happens, Tamara also informs Reacher that the same traffic has been going on for days. This revelation makes Reacher realize why Anna abandoned her car on the day she died.Reacher asks the three to take a shortcut and arrive at the nearby subway station that Anna probably took on the fateful day. After meeting Reacher, Tamara theorizes what probably happened. Reacher suspects that Aana was grieving because Ben had already died and she was planning to kill the people responsible.But Reacher's interference caused her to make the fateful decision to kill herself. Tamara gets a call informing her that Ben's body has been found. She, Jacob, and Russell drive to the morgue as Reacher heads to meet Lila. Upon meeting, the two are chased off by mercenaries.Reacher manipulates Lila into boarding a train and asks her to wait in the hotel. He stays behind and fights off the mercenaries. After killing them, Reacher also escapes the local police. However, Reacher manages to evade them, and he makes his way to Lila's hotel.At the morgue, the medical examiner informs Tamara that the cut on Ben's throat was made using a curved knife from Indonesia. Jacob hears this and realizes something. Immediately, the scene cuts to Lila and Amisha being visited by the mercenaries.Instead of being afraid, the two women take out the curved knives; we see Reacher breaking into Lila's room and finding the bodies of the mercenaries. This means that Lila and Amisha had abducted Ben and blackmailed Anna.
