Ride or Die cast: Meet the stars of upcoming Hannah Waddingham series

Amazon Prime Video's upcoming action-comedy series, Ride or Die, is created by Tessa Coates. It features Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer in the leading roles. The series is set to premiere on July 15, 2026, on Prime Video.

The plot follows best friends Debbie Claybourne and Judith Burton, who have known each other for over twenty years. However, their lives take a sudden turn when Debbie discovers that Judith is an international assassin. After a mysterious person from Judith's past emerges and a hit goes wrong, the best friends are forced to go on the run together across Europe as the threat closes in.

Coates serves as the executive producer of the show along with director Peyton Reed and showrunner Matt Miller. It is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios. Apart from that, Octavia Spencer, under the banner of Orti Entertainment, and Barbara and Andy Muschietti's Double Dream are also producing the series. Spencer, Waddingham, Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, Irene Yung, Stephanie Kluft, and Brian Clisham also serve as the executive producers for Ride or Die.

Hannah Waddingham (The Fall Guy, Ted Lasso, and The Hustle) plays Judith Burnton, an international assassin and Debbie's best friend.

The trailer features a glimpse of how Judith and Debbie became friends. Judith helps Debbie when her car breaks down in the middle of the road. After twenty years, when a hit goes wrong and a mysterious person from Judith's past emerges, Debbie realizes that Judith is an assassin. The best friends are eventually forced to go on a run across Europe to hunt down the enemies.

Octavia Spencer as Debbie Claybourne

Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures, The Help, and The Shack) plays Debbie Claybourne in Ride or Die. When Debbie finds out that Judith, her best friend for over twenty years, is an international assassin, she is left shocked. Meanwhile, Debbie, who had dedicated her entire life to supporting her husband, also learns that he wants a divorce.

When Debbie gets repeatedly attacked by a group of mysterious people, she asks Judith about it. Judith reveals that Debbie's husband allegedly stole millions from a powerful mob, making Debbie their latest target. Judith urges Debbie to trust her and takes her on an action-filled adventure across Europe as they fight to outsmart the deadly assassins and uncover the truth behind it.

Bill Nighy as The Director

Bill Nighy (Love Actually, Page Eight, and About Time) plays the character of a director in Ride or Die. Even though not much is known about the character, it seems like he's the director of the organisation that Judith works for. In the trailer, he gives Judith two options: either to work with the organisation or for her best friend.

Calam Lynch as Sam

Calam Lynch (Sweetpea, Bridgerton and Dunkirk)plays Sam in Ride or Die. Although not much is known about his character, as per the trailer, it seems like he is associated with the organisation that Judith works for.

Savannah Steyn as Queenie

Savannah Steyn (House of the Dragon, Crawl, and The Good Boy) plays Queenie in the Prime Video series. In the trailer, Queenie helps Debbie and Judith to create a fake British passport for their mission.

Jamie Parker as David

Jamie Parker (Becoming Elizabeth, 1917, and Des) plays David, Debbie's husband, in Ride or Die. When Debbie gets attacked by a mysterious group of people, Judith reveals that Debbie's husband has taken money from a mob, thus making Debbie their latest target.
