RJ Decker Episode 5 cast and characters: Here's who brought the ABC crime procedural to life

RJ Decker on ABC is a crime procedural show that follows a former newspaper photographer and ex-con who restarts his life as a private investigator in South Florida.

He tackles a range of cases, including some bizarre ones. Interestingly, he's aided by his former partner, the journalist Catherine Delacroix, and her wife, Mel, a police detective. The plot is inspired by Carl Hiaasen's novel, Double Whammy.

In Episode 5 titled Burn Notice, RJ Decker investigates a Little League coach whose family is being targeted for unknown reasons. Elsewhere, the parole officer worries that RJ is not following the rules of his conditional release. The parole officer feels that trouble is brewing for the ex-con.

Scott Speedman as RJ Decker

Scott Speedman (Underworld and The Strangers) plays RJ Decker in the ABC crime procedural series. In this episode of RJ Decker, the ex-con and former newspaper photographer is set to investigate a case that initially begins with a spray-painted threat on a garage door.

Turns out, someone is threatening the couple, Molly and Bruce. The intruder has destroyed their car and left them a note, too, where they demanded a lump sum amount.

Initially, Bryce tries to pin the blame on Molly's ex. However, Bryce's past was soon exposed. He later explains how the Chinese Triad was laundering money, and one fine day, a gangster accuses Bryce of stealing money. After a chaotic investigation that had several twists and turns, RJ finds out that Vince was responsible for the crimes, including killing Josh. Turns out, Vince wanted his son Brooks to have Henry's position.

Bevin Bru as Melody 'Mel' Abreau

Bevin Bru portrays Melody Mel Abreau in Episode 5. She is a police detective by profession and Catherine's (RJ's ex-wife) current partner. In this episode, Mel helps RJ when he gets arrested by the bike police while he was chasing the culprits who were blackmailing Molly and Bryce.

She also helps Catherine find a house for RJ. She advises Catherine that even though RJ might be a good guy, he often attracts trouble. Catherine tells her that he wasn't always like this. In the end, Mel tells Penmar she doesn't want RJ removed from their house.

Kevin Rankin as Aloysius 'Wish' Aiken

Kevin Rankin (Breaking Bad and Claws) plays Aloysius Wish Aiken in Episode 5. RJ's former cellmate and a bar owner, he assists RJ with the case. He finds out crucial leads that help RJ solve the case.
