School Spirits Season 3 release schedule: When do the rest of the episodes drop?

School Spirits Season 3 is back, sending waves of excitement through its fanbase. The hit supernatural drama series follows high school student Maddie Nears (played by Peyton List), who mysteriously gets stuck in her school in the afterlife as she tries to uncover the many secrets with other teen ghosts. Season 3 of the series premiered on January 28, 2026, with three episodes on Paramount+. The remaining five episodes of the series will be released weekly, with the finale set to air on March 4, 2026.

The Paramount+ series is created by Nate and Megan Trinrud. School Spirits Season 3 will see Maddie getting back her physical body. She gets strange visions that will compel her to uncover secrets at the Split River High. Meanwhile, Simon is stuck in the afterlife, and Mr. Martin seems to be hiding something crucial. Maddie finds it hard to navigate through the new reality as she continues to find the truth behind her stolen life.

While speaking about the new season, Nate Trinrud told ScreenRant,

“It's dark. This is certainly a season that's going to dip a little bit more into some of the horror elements. I think we're really diving into the psyches of both the ghosts we've met and some we haven't…You're going to see the season unfold and go a little bit more genre-bending in that direction. We like to play each season. Season 1 was very much a murder mystery, while season 2 is very much our ode to Twin Peaks. This season, we're really leaning more into Stephen King and into the worlds of our favorite horror films from the '90s, '80s, and 2000s.”

School Spirits Season 3 released the first three episodes on Paramount + on January 28, 2026. The season will comprise eight episodes, with the remaining slated to drop weekly on Wednesdays at 12 AM PT/ 3 am ET. Here is a look at the release schedule.

What to expect in School Spirits Season 3?

School Spirits Season 3 is here, and it looks like there are a whole lot of secrets to uncover at Split River High this time around. At the end of the last season, Maddie leaves the afterlife and gets back her body. Even Wally finds himself at the crossroads. But Simon Elroy is stuck between life and death as she tries to navigate through the halls of the school.

Maddie is back in the living world, but she is burdened with disturbing visions. She is still trying to learn the reason behind her disappearance and must find a way to bring Simon back. Mr. Martin seems to be carrying secrets that she has to unearth to understand what is truly happening at Split River High. Other than Peyton List, the cast of the series also includes Kristian Ventura, Spencer MacPherson, Milo Manheim, Josh Zuckerman, Kiara Pichardo, Rainbow Wedell and Ci Jang Ma, among others.

The synopsis for School Spirits Season 3 states,

“Maddie Nears and her friends dive into a deeper, darker mystery as the veil between worlds grows dangerously thin, delivering twists that challenge everything they thought they knew. After clawing her way back to life, Maddie struggles with terrifying visions and the weight of protecting both the living and the dead while Simon – trapped in the afterlife – becomes obsessed with the secrets buried in Split River High’s scars.
