Shark Tank Season 18 is getting ready for its fall release this year on ABC and Hulu. Even though the popular business reality TV series does not have a release date, ABC has revealed the lineup of guests that we will see this season. It seems that the guests belong to a diverse background, including the YouTube and podcasting world.

Also returning for Shark Tank Season 18 are the permanent sharks: Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Kevin O’Leary, Robert Herjavec, Daniel Lubetzky, and Lori Greiner. However, the makers have also shaken up the positions of Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams, who have been Shark Tank guests since the twelfth season.

Shark Tank Season 18 guest sharks: Who are they?

The Office's Mindy Kaling, YouTuber MrBeast, Diary of a CEO host Steven Bartlett, former NFL defensive lineman and founder of the Justin J. Watt Foundation, J.J. Watt, and the CEO of Beast Industries, Jeffrey Housenhold, who is also an associate of MrBeast. Of these guests, Steven Bartlett is a unique addition because he is one of the Dragons in Dragons’ Den, the British version of Shark Tank.

However, the Shark Tank Season 18 guest sharks' announcement is not the shocking development from the upcoming season.

Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams have been made permanent Sharks:

The ABC official press release confirmed Williams' and Scott's promotion to permanent Sharks. Daniel Lubetzky, who has been around since 2019, invited Scott and Williams as the two new permanent Sharks through his social media handle with the following post:

"Please join me in welcoming Kendra Scott and Rashaun Williams to the Shark Tank family as full-time Sharks! Kendra’s infectious Southern charm and Rashaun’s supercomputer brain are going to make the Tank even crazier than usual. Beyond their incredible success as entrepreneurs and investors, they’re both thoughtful, generous people who make amazing mentors and partners for aspiring entrepreneurs."

What do we know about the eighteenth season?

We know that the eighteenth season is going to be released in the second half of this year. As of now, ABC hasn't revealed which new start-ups are going to participate in Shark Tank Season 18 to impress the sharks. But, like the previous seventeen seasons, we can expect scrappy new business ventures pitching their products throughout the runtime of the upcoming one.

As for the selection process, Rashaun Williams described it like this to TV Insider last September:

“This is like the NFL Draft… I don’t have to go through 10,000 pitch decks to narrow it down to 10 companies. They do it for me. I get to sit next to people who are entrepreneurs and some of the best investors in the country, asking questions that I don’t get to ask. And I get to see the reaction of entrepreneurs after I invest, which I’ve never seen before."

He then continued:

"And I sometimes cry, and I’m emotional about it, and I mean, this is a platform that I can take the financial literacy that I’ve been teaching for 25 years to the masses, because I love to teach, but the way my bank account is set up, I can’t afford to be a teacher, so now I get to do both.”

The previous seventeen seasons of the series are available on Hulu, as we wait for Shark Tank Season 18.
