Margarita Levieva opens up about Heather Glenn's arc in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
The Marvel series had premiered back in 2025. Created by Dario Scarpalene, the plot centers on Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who is a masked avenger Daredevil — a nemesis-like figure who restores justice.
In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, the story of Matt Murdock continues as he confronts emerging dangers in Hell's Kitchen, as Elektra and Punisher compel him to face complex litigation. We also witness how, in the middle of all of this, Murdock is staggering under the weight of his dual existence.
Margarita Levieva's Dr. Heather Glenn works as a therapist and has been romantically connected with Murdock. However, their relationship gets strained in the process due to Matt's complicated, volatile life and also due to the traumatic attack caused by Muse on Heather.
As per the comments made by Levieva, it appears that Heather will strongly experience the reverberations of the violent past in an emotional sense. This time, her struggles are more intrinsic than being extrinsic in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
It is also revealed that Heather is striving to conceal her true feelings and put on a facade in front of the world to appear sorted. However, the coping mechanism she has developed in the process is to immerse herself completely into work. In that way, work becomes a form of avoidance, as she represses her feelings and tries to distract herself.
We can also imagine how this could impact her relationship with Matt Murdock. As their relationship has already become complicated, Heather's current emotional state could estrange them from each other. It is important to note that the fundamental cause behind Heather's emotional distress is due to the aftermath of Muse's attack on her. Undoubtedly, the violent incident has left indelible emotional scars on her.
Along with this, Heather is also undergoing a huge wave of heavy emotions, including "the guilt, the shame, the regret", as stated by Margarita Levieva. Basically, Heather is processing events from the past, and is striving to comprehend them. When there is mention of guilt, it could also perhaps mean that she might be placing a false responsibility on herself. There are also feelings of humiliation and remorse, which could signal that she might be viewing things in hindsight. She might be thinking about "if only" moments, wondering if there is anything she could do to change what took place.
Therefore, in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, we can expect Heather Glenn's arc to focus on her psychological healing and how she deals with her past sorrows. Only after watching the series can we get a complete picture of her recovery journey.
