Mickey's drunken state led to a shocking confession on her part. Mickey confessed that she made the wrong decision not to choose Boone when he confessed his feelings for her. In Sheriff Country Season 2 Episode 1, Mickey has little time to deal with her family secrets or Eva's return. The next morning, Travis and Skye demanded answers from Mickey about her mother's secretive criminal past and shocking return, but Mickey chose silence and left for work.

Upon reaching the station, Mickey asked Boone if she did anything embarrassing while being drunk, completely unaware of her confession. Boone chose not to take advantage of the night before and stayed tight-lipped about Mickey's admission. The duo was called to a bridge where Donna, a young woman, threatened to jump. Mickey managed to talk her out of it, and Donna was admitted to a hospital. Mickey learned about a dangerous street dr*g circulating from Donna.

Things took a turn in Sheriff Country Season 2 Episode 1 when Donna disappeared from the hospital with some men who were threatening to kill her father.

Mickey revealed that the dr*g operation was related to a criminal organization, which was holding and s*xually exploiting young girls in a dangerous s*x trafficking plot. The case took a harrowing turn as the dr*g investigation had quickly turned into an organized crime operation. Mickey was desperate to help the young girls, and Eva presented a way.

Eva arrived at the station, offering to recruit Mickey for her task force to thwart the criminal operation. While this was exactly the alternative Mickey needed, she refused to work with Eva.

Sheriff Country Season 2 Episode 1: Eva confided in Skye

After getting no clarity from her mother, Skye arranged to meet with Eva in a diner to hear her side of the story in Sheriff Country Season 2 Episode 1. Eva confessed that she fell in love with Wes while investigating him on an undercover mission. Eva knew that her relationship with Wes would have serious consequences for her career. But their affair led to Mickey's birth. When forced to take responsibility, Eva chose to walk away and thrust herself into another assignment. Eva's admission was too much for Skye, and she left the conversation abruptly.

In the final moments of Sheriff Country Season 2 Episode 1, Travis managed to lift Wes' house arrest after proving Alec was a corrupt cop. Wes immediately confronted Eva about their past, questioning if their relationship was even genuine.
